Do you have any idea how hard it is to eat healthy when you are working a new job for over 10 hours a day and then come home to a screaming baby. His cold isn't going away quickly. His cough is heart breaking. He has no fever and the running nose is clear so it is just a cold. So nothing doc could do. I just gotta suffer w/ him. Kinda glad to go to work. We've been up since 4. ugh. audri

Happy Valentines day, sweeties!

LOL! I said that once today to my son as he was getting ready for school and got a grunt in return. He was happy to take the small box of candy with him though along with his lunch!

I hope everyone gets to spend some time with those they love today and gets to enjoy it!

We rode the bike yesterday for 20 minutes each but I am afraid the bike is on its last leg or wheel, in this case. Paul is having to hammer in a metal rod that attaches the pedal on a daily basis! Maybe that will be our next splurge when the financial situation gets on a even keel again. I would love to get a recumbent. BTW, Flower, how are you liking yours?

Itsworthit, I haven't seen the tape you mentioned. In fact, I haven't seen any of them. I noticed yesterday at the libraby they have one (I don't think it was the one you mentioned) but I will check this one out soon since you enjoyed the treat one you got. I appreciated the tip.

Flower, sorry to hear Griffin is still sick. Poor baby....I hope the doesn't have the croop. That is REALLY hard to listen to. If you have a small bath with a shower and it gets too bad go in there with him and run the shower on hot and sit in there with the steam. They say it helps. A hot water humidifier would probably do the same thing. Good luck. I will send up a prayer for you and the baby. No wonder you are in a mood! Sick baby, new job, restricted diet and living with 4 males!

Well, I need to go climb on the bike and ride.

TTYL,
karefree

PS I heard this yesterday on the radio and got a chuckle out of it. Keep this in mind if your Valentines Day isn't going as well as you had hoped.

This was sent into one of our stations when they requested horror stories about this special day of love. It was authored by a 16 year old girl.

She had a secret crush on one of her school mates and was euphoric when he invited her our for valentines day. He arrived in his car and whisked her off to a romantic italian restaurant. They enjoyed the candlelite meal. She thought the ravioli tasted a little funny but thought it might be the chefs choice of spices.... This boy of her dreams had presented her with flowers and candy and was making all her dreams come true so she wasn't going to complain. On the way to his house, where she was hoping for a little makeout session with her dream date, with the hot air from the car heater blowing in her face her stomach began to rumble. Before she could say "pull over" her stomach returned the ravioli in an explosive manner. He pulled the car over while looking at her like she was an alien invader. As quickly as possible she threw the car door open, and crawled across the side walk where she collapsed against the cement. This boy didn't drive off but did help her to her feet and take her to his house. The makeout session didn't happen since most of her time was spent trying to clean off the ravioli remains. She said he did call her a few times after but she just didn't think he could get past that first date....It would be memorable....Bless her heart. Anyway, if your day isn't going as you expected just think of this 16 year old who EVERY year will probably remember this one.

Have a good one!

Hi all,

Audri I am interested to hear about your new job lead. Does that mean you will quit the other one or do you think you can do both? Or did you say this one was only temp? Seems I remember you saying that she couldn't afford to hire you permenantly? Whatever, good luck!

I rode the bike today for 20 minutes and so did Paul. He is really trying.

I am one a saving adventure. I am trying to save as much as possible before the 22 of this month. That doesn't give me much time, huh?

Well, hope there is lots to read here tomorrow when I come back. HINT-HINT!

See ya'll then,
Karen

Hi, I'm back, been back a few days, but this is only my second real chance to catch up on e-mail and post. My trip was wonderful! Soooooo nice to be warm for a while! We played in the pool and surf constantly! The kids had a wonderful time, so did I! I'm now even more ready for spring! It is gonna snow here today and I am no longer in the mood LOL!

Yesterday was pretty and fairly warm so I pruned - butchered - our butterfly bush, I hope it leafs out soon!

Well, I spent some time looking up info on Left-handers since I got a good connection this afternoon, so I'm already out of time (my son appears to be a lefty) (and I found out i'm a true amby!) So, I'd better go...

I hope to pull my dieting act together (yet again) soon and start posting losses! Until then...I'll at least post!

Hi everyone! So great to see so many posts this morning. I am half way through my point expedition and decided to check in here. It is a nice break!

MailWhale, WELCOME BACK! Glad to hear you had a good time basking in the sun and surf! It sounds wonderful but I expect it makes it harder to go back to the snow! I noticed the daffodils are blooming yesterday and the yellow bells are just starting. Everything is in bud. I just hope we don't get another freeze and ruin the spring colors!

I had a butterfly bush for a few years and it did great. I let it get too big which put it too close to the brick on the house front and it got fried. It is a shame becasue they are beautiful and do draw the butterflies. What color is yours, MW?

We both rode for 20 minutes yesterday.

See ya'll later,
karefree

Hello. Soory to leave ya hanging there...I couldn't get on line yesterday. So many phone calls I was waiting for. I applied at the Ballagio. Best floral dept at a casino in town. It pays extremely well. I have a very good referal. I just need to get a hold of the big boss. I will try again today. I was only a temp at Bonnies floral KF. I wouldn't wanted to stay there permenantly. She doesn't even have hot water. And everyone there smokes. I don't really mind smokers but when they have a smoke break every half hour and you only get 10 minutes to eat your lunch-you get resentful. Well, off the phone line I go. I am so jealous of your vacation MW!!!! audri/flower ps/ I haven't lost any weight. I haven't gained either! I haven't had energy to excersise either. I have the blastest cold now too.

Hi everyone,

This may be rushed so the spelling will probably not be checked too closely so bear with me....

I am out of time for NetZero for the month already so this is from the mall after I got all my points. If I keep it up at this rate I should have 400 $'s in gift certificates to help with this Christmas....What was that my mother always used to say? Oh, yeah. Don't count your chickens before they hatch! Anyway....

Audri, sorry to hear you are sick too. Is the baby any better? Good luck on the job hunt. I hope the one that is best for you and your family jumps right into your lap!

MW, I am anious to hear about your 4.99 a month service. As soon as you get it and reach an opinion, please post it. I am afraid I will have to go with a pay service to. It is too hard to make the trip to the mall for about everyday for half the month! We really cna't afford to pay now with saving for ins, taxes etc and Paul starting a new job but I hate not having access to the web and ya'll so....

Well, I was planning to walk while I was here so I really shouldn't put that off any longer.

I'll check back in when I can. Hope everyone has a great new week.

Hey girls,

It's a brand new day and I am already in a rush. Jesse is out of school today and you all know what that means. I am still having computer problems which is old news to ya'll too.

Well, he is standing over me waiting to use the phone and I want to ride the bike before it gets too late so I will talk with ya'll when I can.

Have a great day!

Just remind me to say no if anyone every asks me to dog sit again! This pitbull is so sweet but it is a major escape artist! Luckily twice now she has found her way home! This one night of sitting has turned into 3 and no end in sight. If she wasn't so well behaved, I would not go looking for her if it happened again. I am left w/ tieing her up when she goes out. And I feel so cruel doing that!!!!!

My butterfly bush has purple blossoms, almost all summer it was a good 15+ feet tall and rubbing against the house. It has nice folliage, that it mostly sheds in the winter and is now just a bunch of 6' tall sticks in the snow! And itsworthit, we may just have to meet up if ya come west this year!!! What color was yours Karefree? The people who lived here before us said they used to prune it down to the ground every few years to keep it in check, but I couldn't quite do that!

Let's see, I'm still not being a very good loser these days... someone light a spark under my butt! lol!

Well, I'd better get back to my stork stuff, and as I just got disconnected and hope to get back on to send this I'd better get busy on my new internet service provider! I have a number to worldnet (which is not the At&t worldnet) but have not called yet...am I a procrastinator or what?????

Health to us all!

MailWhale, I am here on Juno so I hope this goes through without crashing....

My Butterflybush was pink. They come in all colors now. They yellow is beautiful. Is your purple the one that looks almost black?

BTW, Join us on part 6 next time, okay? Not too many people are posting.

Let me know what you find out about the ISP's. Don't feel too bad. At least you have the phone numbers. I am waiting on you to do it! LOL! So, who is the worst procrastinator?

BTW, Juno seems to tolerate use in the hours after 4:00 AM the best.
