I have not weighed yet - I'll be dropping by the scale in a few minutes on the way to the shower. I'm not looking forward to it - I've got plantar faciitis and haven't been exercising, and also took Prednisone to help the healing. Ooooh that's a terrible match! But I'll see if any damage was done in a few minutes.
My goals for the next week is to do my therapy without missing. I need to do stretching exercises about 5 times a day. I always find myself busy and unable to stop at work to do it. I have to learn to say NO and get this done or I'm just not going to heal permanently. So this week I'm stretching 5 times a day, and icing at least 4 times a day.
Hullo! This is my first post in the PCOS thread. I've lost a pound! The Metformin is really helping my appetite, and eating low-GI isn't as tricky as I thought it was.
I haven't been able to get over the embarrassment hurdle to exercise -- I do crunches and lunges and squats and pushups in my office where there's no-one around to watch, but I know it's not a substitute for real exercise.
I'm actually doing pretty well. The scale at home was kind to me and showed me a new low since I bought it. My "official" scale weigh-in is with full clothes so it still weighs me a lb above my ticker weight but I'll take it
My goals are to TRY to do my elliptical every day for at least a mile or to walk at least a mile every day.
Well I lost 1.5 pounds in January. It sounds low, but I was not allowed to exercise all month and I took a round of Prednisone, so I thought I was doomed - so I'm happy.
I've already messed up with therapy. Two 12 hour days at work, eating lunch at my desk, etc. Not much stretching going on! I have two days off. Stretching ahead!
My latest BC pill makes me nervous. Sometimes I have spotting pre TOM, sometimes I don't. A few months ago I had spotting pre TOM but then no actual TOM. Although it made up for it the next month. This month it was the same. Although I have had some cramps but no actual TOM. What gives? Not that I'm complaining about lightness but I like consistency. I don't want to change though because I don't know how my body would react with a different pill and at least I seem to be able to lose some weight while on this pill.
Hi ladies! I'm another PCOSer. I'm currently BFing my six month old DD, which has been helping me (I think) in my weight loss. I started on 12/27 and am down 24 pounds, with another official WI tomorrow.
I am now 2 weeks into my diet and I have lost 7 pounds, while on my prednisone, naproxen and the humira. I have not started back on the methotrexate yet. I was "the biggest loser" in our little 15 person competition at work, and am in second overall so far. Too early to get too excited. But at least I am on the right track!!! Thanks so much for all the support!!!! I will keep everyone posted... Teresa
