Default no appetite

I have a question: When it comes around to that time of month, whe TOM is around, my appetite goes up and down. Today, im not hungry at all. I dont want to eat anything. On these days should i eat something anyway, just cuz my body needs some nutrition, or should i follow my apetite?

There's another thread called Starving Days which is just like this one--we have days where we aren't that hungry and others where we can eat everything in sight.

IMO (and maybe it's because I just plain LIKE to eat! LOL) I would not go the whole day without eating. I'd plan for some light meals or snacks to get you by otherwise you might encounter a starving day tomorrow.

Definitely eat anyway. Going without food just slows down weight loss...

If you are not hungry, I would recommend eating something small.

Be careful, though. I also believe in listening to your body. If you are really not hungry, don't force yourself to eat a whole lot.

I also agree that you should eat something small, you want to keep that metabolism up. Popcorn, veggies, fruit, something light!

I would eat high calorie food like almonds and such to at least get in a decent amount of calories.

Or worse, you'll lose muscle, which slows your metabolism making it easier to gain fat.

I have the same problem, only it isn't only around my TOM. I usually try to eat at least 300 calories, usally in the form of fruit and veggies or a handful of nuts. That way its not that much but I'm not starving myself either. What you don't want to happen is to trigger the bodies natural starvation mode which will slow metabolism and in turn slow down the metabolism.
