Hiya! Hope you have all had a great holiday season. For me it has been a blur and I have no one to blame but myself. I worked 12 hours in the ER yesterday and it was soooo busy, I forgot it was even Christmas. Too sad. I love Christmas.
Anyway, I say "re-introduce" myself, because I've been absent from the beach for way too long! About 3 years ago I was introduced to South Beach and had amazing results. 53 pounds in about 7 months. Pretty proud of that and I think I looked pretty amazing. I worked hard at it until about 6 months ago when I basically disappeared from the beach. It the process I've gained nearly half of my loss back.
Well, I'm not even waiting for January 1st. I'm starting right now! I had blood work done last week and it was scary. 3 years ago I had a series of labs drawn to see the positive changes that were happening to my vessels as well as my size. It was pretty impressive. Well, last weeks labs were bad.
Anyway, I'm back! There are many familiar "faces" but a ton of new ones. Hi to all, the beach is the best.
I'm one semester away from finishing my bachelor's degree. Will be done in April. I'm contemplating going on for a Masters so I can teach at the University near my home. I think I would like that. I'm tired of working holidays and weekends. I think I'm ready for a more normal life.
Anyway, enough blabber. Happy New Year everyone and happy new beginnings!!!!!
Welcome back RNMOM, I am just coming back myself. Although I am not starting til the new year. Its nice to be back. Take care and good luck you will be back to goal weight in no time.
Welcome Back! I'm a newbie here, so I look forward to getting to know you better. I've been posting for a while, but have definitely fallen off track SB-wise. It's time to refocus and make changes! We can do this!!

My DH and I had a conversation about this yesterday and oh, how I hate to say this: I'm gung ho to begin the new year right this year. It seems I always try to do something, but my age and my appearance and my health is all going down, down, except my age, of course. LOL. So I want to rejoin and get in the groove with the rest of you.
