Arrow Confused, Need Some Opinions: Inches Lost?

Well, I took my starting stats on 12/3/06 for Power 90, and started working out. I have lost one pound total since starting, but I know my thighs are a little smaller, so today, I decided to take my measurements.

STARTING STATS 12/3/06:
Chest: 46
Waist: 45.5
Hips: 49
LThigh: 26
RThigh: 26.5
LArm: 16
RArm: 16

CURFRENT STATS 12/15/06:
Chest: 46 (0)
Waist: 44.5 (-1)
Hips: 48 (-1)
LThigh: 25.5 (-0.5)
RThigh: 25.75 (-0.75)
LArm: 16.5 (+0.5)
RArm: 16.25 (+0.25)

Are these right? Is it possible to lose an inch on my waist and another on my hips in just under two weeks? I remeasured several times, so the second stats are definitely right. I'd love some input here. I feel great and my fiance said he can see a small difference. But I don't want to get excited if these results aren't even possible.

BTW, my diet has been healthy foods at 1200 cal.s or less (upped to 1400 starting yesterday), as you can see in my Fitday page if you want. And exercise on P90 is alternating days of cardio/crunches and weights/pushups.

Why are they not possible? The tape usually doesn't lie especially if you measured in the same spot as the first time... I prefer the tape as a measure of progress more than the scale... Measure again in the next 2 weeks and see if there is a difference again and just be happy happy if the numbers keep going down... Keep up the great work...

From my own experience, it's totally possible. I also love using the tape measure as a guide becaus it really does show your body getting SMALLER. I measure practically everything once a week: neck, upper arm, forearm, wrist, bust, ribs, tummy, love handle area, hips, thighs, calves.

I started taking these measurements at 220, so I (unfortunately) don't have them from my highest weight. But in just the last 12 lbs, I've lost 4 inches each from both my waist and love handles, 3.5 inches each from my bust and hips, and a whopping 5.5 inches from my ribs! The weirdest place? I've lost .5 on my wrist!!

It is possible. Notice your arms are a bit bigger. That's bicep action happening! Good for you!

Thanks a bunch, guys! I'm psyched again now. I really believe I did measure at the same spots: The widest area on my hips and tummy and arms, and the midpoint on my thighs. I feel awesome, aside from my headache.

You probably tightened those muscles!

I love using the tape measure. I lost 5 inches before the scale moved a pound. If I'd just stayed on the scale, I never would have known that it was happening and would have been totally discouraged.

Altari: Really? Wow, 5 inches and not a pound difference? I sure hope my weight starts dropping a bit before that happens. I hate being above 200... *shudder*
