Weekly Journal Buddy Thread (Sept. 10 to Sept. 16)
I miss this thread. I liked posting what I had eaten and exercised. I also liked to see how everyone else is doing and or doing it.
So.....to begin
Today (Tues.)
I ate:
Oatmeal
2% milk (1 cup)
6 ozs. of Tuna
4 tsp of low fat mayo
1 Apple
1 cup of pineapple
1/4 cup of almonds
boneless pork chop
brussel sprouts
1 skinny cow
I exercised 25 minutes on the elliptical and lifted weights both upper and lower body. I had not been there in a month at the gym and I can tell I will feel it tomorrow.
I hope more people will post on this thread so we can get it going! Have a great day or evening where ever you are in the world!!

I like posting/planning/seeing others' plans as well. I've been posting in the daily planning threads in the Support section, but the more places I post, the more accountability for me!
I stuck to my plan yesterday (eggs, turkey meatballs, sandwich on 100% whole wheat, and banana smoothie) and even walked 3 miles. As for today:
- 2 eggs
- grapes
- Lean Cuisine grilled chicken and veggies meal
- banana
- baked ham w/honey mustard
- pineapple chunks (packed in juice, of course)
I had 5.5 liters of water yesterday (and a can of Coke Zero), so I'm aiming for about that same amount today (especially since there's lots of sodium in the Lean Cuisine and in the ham). No exercise today--I felt really sick after my 3-mile walk yesterday, so I'll rest today.

It makes me want to work harder I think if I post and show progress. This morning I planned out the meals for breakfast, snack and lunch but dinner just KILLS me. I did well yesterday but I want to keep it up eating better and smaller portions. I will do the same today. I have in my mind a number goal of 240 before Thanskgiving. It would make 17 pounds this year.....not great but not bad either.
I will post later with my meals for the day.

Yesterday I ate:
I ate:
Oatmeal
2% milk (1 cup)
6 ozs. of Tuna
4 tsp of low fat mayo
1 Apple
1 cup of pineapple
brussel sprouts
Ramen
with kimchi
roll with rice, seaweed, veggies, egg, ham
1 skinny cow
I did not do as well as the other day but I kept away from eating between meals and enjoyed everything. I went to the koran snack bar for dinner because I wanted soup. My sinuses hurt and thought a nice hot and spicy soup would be good. I chose ramen instead but I was still feeling a little better after eating that.
Today I go back to the gym. Hopefully my gym buddies will be there.

I have a 50th Anniversary party tonight, from 5-7. I haven't eaten anything in anticipation. I might scramble some eggs here just to be on the safe side.
Today:
1 tablespoon decaf coffee crystals
1.5 cups skim milk
buffet style @ party, so I am estimating high
1-1 1/2 cup green & wax beans
1 cup corn
3/4 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup mushroom/beef/gravy mixture
1 cup fresh fruit
2 cups decaf w/half & half
1/2 piece poppyseed cake
1/2 piece chocolate cake
1 mcdonald's hppy meal cheeseburger, extra pickles
1 small fry
1 child size orange drink
1 bag 100-calorie microwave popcorn
waterrrrrrrr Still drinking 2-3 gallons per day.

Hi Girls!
The weekends get me off track as far as posting so forgive me.
On Saturday I ate:
whole grain bread with organic peanut butter
2% milk
ramen with 2 eggs
almonds
skinny cow
then......well it was dining club and it went to heck.
tomato and mozzerella
gnocchi
tiramisu
The dining club is a once a month thing where a bunch of us get together and go to a foreign restaurant here in Seoul. There are some really good places to eat so we try to a different cuisine each time.
Last night was italian. I plan on this being my treat night once a month. Next month we go German. I am on a "scouting mission" so to speak to find the restuarant today so I plan on getting in a lot more walking.
