So I see on my calendar tomorrow we will only have 7 weeks till Halloween! I want to start a challenge! Post your goals and your stats(opt)! Let's do it to it! I'm going to try and weigh myself in the AM to check my weight again, I weighed myself 3days ago, so I might need to adjust it(hopefully down) by a pound or so. I am going todo my weigh ins Tuesday's since 10/31 is a tuesday! Oh there's also a Friday the 13th next month too! How Fun!

Goal: 230lbs
Lbs/Wk need to lose:~2.3lbs
I also am going to try to exercise for as much as possible and cut back on eating out!
Got your message! Sign me up, girlie! I will try to lose 16.9 lbs from today's weight (296.9), so my Halloween goal will be 280 Then I have another 6 weeks to lose another 10 lbs before my wedding on 12/10 (Thanksgiving will be a hitch, LOL).
Ambitious, but I can do it if I stick to my Beach Watchers and exercise!
I'd like to get in on this challenge. I am aiming for 7 lbs between now & Halloween-the 1st 10 were mainly water weight, I am sure, and now is where I will begin to have to really work it if I want to lose. So, if it is ok, I'd like to join this challenge!!!!

Ok, I'm 180 right now. My goal is 15 pounds, putting me below 170 for the first time in years.
Hi all thanks for joining! I forgot to update yesterday with my weight, busy with studying. But when I woke up before school I weighed 244.2 so I guess I lost some weight already! That means I'm on track to get to 226 by Halloween! I rode my bike to and from class yesterday. It's about 3 miles each way, there's 2 big ole hills too, The first one I can make about 1/2 way up so my goal is to beable to bike all the way up. I am not even attempting the 2cd, it's a way steep incline (think San Francisco hills). But it's a good added workout to walk my bike up it.
halloweengirl I'm going to be ambitious with you! Losing about 2lbs a week is a good goal for us, it's a healthy rate and it will be great for our bodies! Congrats on the wedding you'll be able to make a big difference by then. Breaking it up into to 2 mini challenges probably helps too. That way you got 7 weeks to meet the first goal and then 6 weeks to meet the 2cd. Good luck!
Shorechick, I know its crazy that our bodies can store so much extra water weight. I know one time before I did the southbeach diet and the pounds just dropped off but it was mostly the extra water weight and then it slowed down to lose the real body mass. I don't take them but I see why diruetics can be addictive, it gives that false sense of real weight loss. So stick to it and you'll get there.

Halloween is my favorite holiday too, Ecogeek! I love going to Halloween parties, I know I can't drop a massive amount before then but I know if I lose even 10lbs it will show a difference in my face and clothes will fit a bit better. That's why I think 16's a good goal. Hopefully that's at least one dress size, I got a pair pants that I wore last year that is one size too small that I really like!
I want to lose 100lbs and my boyfriend works out so I tried to pick up 2 of his 50lb dumbbells and omg I can't believe I'm carrying that much extra weight around! No wonder my ankles get sore after a long day of standing around and stuff. I'll update again a couple days.

i have 12 pounds or so to goal.this will give me the incentive to get there.only problem is i am going on holidays to the uk for a week.this may help me with food choices and portion sizes{not have fish and chips everynite}

I'm going to jump in for the Halloween challenge. My goal is to lose ten pounds between now and Halloween. (And hopefully not gain it all back by eating candy!)
I hear you on the candy, Sashabee! I'm hoping if I lose some weight by Halloween I will be more inspired to resist the stuff. And prevent the whole holiday season eating marathon from starting.
