Default Please refresh my memory on gold w/o lites

I'm looking for the Gold without Lites plan portions. I have been using the lites since I started but I'm thinking about going to an all food plan to cut back on sugar. I asked this question several months ago and I got the answer then but I can't find it now. Can someone please refresh my memory on this? Thanks.

Gold w/out lites: First up your protein by 2oz. (Beef would be 6oz, chicken would be 8oz)

I'm a little confused. I'm gold with lites (actually only getting one). Do they only add the extra ounces in the protein servings and one veggie? Doesn't the lites, if you're eating two bars a day, total around 380 calories? How does an added veggie and a little more oz. in protein compare in calories?

Patty - I've been confused on that same fact myself. I'm gold with lites and was told if you cut back to just 1 lite a day, you don't get to add anything; you have to give up both lites to add the protein and veggie that Evette shared above. If you tell the folks at LAWL that this doesn't make sense, they will more than likely tell you that it's not just the caloric count they take into consideration, but it's also the chemical balancing of the proteins/veggie mixture. I wish they could draw me a picture, because it really doesn't make much sense. I guess that's why I continue to bars...not only do I like them, but I feel like the trade off isn't really worth it. Of course, I'm not losing as fast as I'd like and may need to give up the bars one of these days.

Patty--you are not alone in your confusion! I'm with Joni--I'd rather have the bars than the piddly "make up" they allow. Plus, I really like have my "treats" sometimes it's lites, lunas, or Kashis--I'm not picky

I thought you just moved up a plan too, but remember that Katie isn't doing Lites, and she's on Red...

I would talk with COD to see what they would say, but maybe Katie will "weigh in" (lol) on this topic too, because she's less than 25 lbs from her goal too.

I think it is just purple. So confusing! I agree with you gals...the calories from the absence of the bars does not exactly equal the substitution of 1 more veggie and 2 extra ounces of protein. But that's what I've been doing. It's working. I'm down another pound this morning! 154!! whoo-hoo!

I am really confused now, i thought the bars count as 1 starch 1/2 protein don't they??? i haven't been steady on my bars i take them one day and just forget about them the next but iam still losing weight so i must be doing something right i guess.

In my COD the policy is if you don't do lites they move you up a plan. Gold to Purple, Purple to Red, red to red 1, red1 to red 2

I started on red without bars, and I am still on red without bars. My COD says that more than likely I will enter maintainence still on red. I hope so. This is truly a plan I could follow forever, no problem. As far as subbing or not subbing the bars, just realize that not getting enough calories will seriously delay your weight loss, so if you do stop losing, I would certainly be moving up a plan. To me, I like more food so that I am not getting too hungry and binging.
