Default Food Journal (12/6 - 12/12)

Won't you join me in recording your daily food intake. I need to get myself back to journaling every day - that is how I was able to keep myself OP! I will be making a weekly journal starting on Thursday and ending on Wednesday. So this food journal will start today, Thursday 12/6 and end next Wednesday 12/12. Sometimes when you see what others are having it gives us new ideas as to what to eat. Hope to see some of you on here with me. Love, CJ

Default Thursday, Dec 6 ....

First, I need to tell you that I start my day with my dinner from the night before. I count points (WW) and it works better for me if I count dinner pts first and finish with breakfast and lunch. That way, if we go out to dinner unexpected, I am starting my daily points with a clean slate. It's much easier to "go lite" for breakfast and lunch to make up for a heavier dinner. Believe me, it works for me!

Thursday, Dec 6
(pt range: 20 - 25 pts)

Dinner 12/5:

1 small slice pizza w/ham, peppers, mushrooms (5 pts)
2 envelopes of Cream-of-Chicken "cup of soup" (3 pts)

Breakfast 12/6:

2 cups raisin bran (8 pts)
1 cup skim milk (2 pts)
2 coffees/black (0 pts)

Lunch 12/6:

1 bag lite microwave popcorn (5 pts)
1 Swiss Miss ff cocoa (1 pt)

Total points: 16
Water: 8 glasses (64 oz)

I can't post yesterday's journal cause I left it in a Word file at work. Oh bother! I'll catch it up on Monday. Here is the journal so far today:

Friday, Dec. 7, 2001

Breakfast:
coffee with sweetener & milk 1.0 pt.

Lunch:
Turkey (2 sl.) 2.0 pt.
Stuffing 3.0 pt.
Gravy (1/8 c.) 1.0 pt.
Mixed vegetables 0 pt.
Salad 0 pt.
Salad dressing (1 tsp oil) 1.0 pt.
Bread pudding 1/8 c. 2.0 pt.
Potatoes 1/2 c. 3.0 pt.
Ham (1 slice) 1.5 pt.
Raisin sauce (1/8 c.) 1.5 pt.
Truffle 4.5 pt.
Jelly roll 2.0 pt.
Tart 2.5 pt.
coffee with sweetener & milk 2.0 pt.

Water 14.5 glasses

Another bad day, but 1 point better than yesterday. These few days here are bad because of Christmas luncheons at work. Once they are finished next week, I can get back to the business of losing weight again.

Total Points: 27

Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001

Points Range: 18 - 23

Breakfast:
Coffee with sweetener and milk 1 pt.
2 sl. whole wheat toast (ran out of high fibre low fat) 2 pt.
1 T. apple jelly 1 pt.

Lunch:
Chicken ceasar (much like cordon bleu) on a bun 11pt.
Salad 0 pt.
ff Italian Sald Dressing 0 pt.

Coffee Break:
Water (1 litre) 0 pt.

Supper:
Hubby wants lasagna - If I go for that, it means I can only eat 1/2 piece. Hmmmm! Probably will have a large salad with this and maybe a slice of high fibre, low fat bread)

Update: Yes, we did have lasagna for supper. Just couldn't stop at 1/2 piece, though. Had to have the full 10 point size. Had a o point salad with that and no bread, so total points for supper were 10

Total Points: 25 points

Another over point day, but will be good tomorrow - I promise.

Yesterday was such a busy day, I didn't really have time to eat. I was volunteering for the Salvation Army on Monday night and for Cirme Stoppers last night. On Tues. I also practice right after work for a band that I sing in, so work melted into practice and then into volunteering. I didn't even consider any supper until after 10 pm, then I was so tired I didn't want to eat anything. Anyway, here is my journal for yesterday:

Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001

Breakfast:
coffee with sweetener and milk 1 pt. (Keep forgetting to stop for breakfast. I will try to do better tomorrow)

Lunch:
Garden Soup 0 pt.
apple 1 pt.
coffee with sweetener and milk 1 pt.

Snack:
coffee with sweetener and milk 2 pt.

Supper:
Veggie burger 4 pt.
Bun 3 pt.
1 T. lite mayo 1 pt.
1 t. barbecue sauce .5 pt.
2 cookies 3 pt.

water: 10 glasses

Total Points: 16.5

I still didn't manage to eat all my points, but by the time I realized that, I was too tired to find anything else that I wanted. I was more afraid that if I went in the fridge to look, I would settle on some of the Christmas baking: nono:

I'll try to do better tomorrow.

Cheers,

I did a bit better on points yesterday. I at least managed to eat the minimum. This is often a struggle for me because it seems that I don't have time to eat. The next 2 days will be difficult because they are filled with Christmas parties and dinners. That's where I really have difficulty managing to stay OP.

Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001

Breakfast:
Coffee with sweetener and milk 1 pt.

Lunch (shovelled down at my desk):
Garden Soup 0 pt.
Salad 0 pt.
FF salad dressing 0 pt.
apple 1 pt.

Snack:
orange (eaten walking out the door to go home from work) 1 pt.

Supper:
Chicken brst w. skin (yummy) 6 pt.
1/2 c. potatoes 3 pt.
1/8 c. gravy 1 pt.
cranberry sauce 1 pt.

I'm starting the journal for Thursday early and will update over the day. It actually started out well - I didn't "forget" to eat breakfast today. LOL

Breakfast:
Coffee with sweetener and milk 1 pt.
Toast (2 sl. high fibre, low fat) 1 pt.
1 T. jelly 1 pt.

That's all so far. I am on my way to the fridge to get some water, though. That will be the start of my water consumption for today.
