Default Trader Joe's Minneapolis

So, I went to check out our first and brand new Trader Joes in the metro area. I was very pleasantly surprised at their prices! I thought they were pretty reasonable. I will definitely be going back!! I can't believe it took them this long to get here!

Lucky! The closest Trader Joe's to me is St. Louis, 3 hours away! I look forward to the rare 2-3 times a year i get to go.

Hey Hadenough...I am in the Metro too. I've been there about 6 times since it opened! My faves are: The low-fat Parmesan Ranch dressing, the banana crisps ( crisps..not chips), any of their chicken sausages, steel-cut oats, the prig khing green beans, and any of their frozen fruit ( berry medley...mango). I found their prices to be pretty good too. Some of the higher-end things are definitely expensive, but most of their products are very reasonable.

Yay, Minnesotans coming out of the woodwork! I've wondered who in the metro area is on 3FC.

Love our new Trader Joe's! I'm so glad we finally have one here.

Their fresh salsa is wonderful too, and about half the price I pay for good salsa in regular grocery stores.

It is on Excelsior in St Louis Park. They are going to be opening another one in Woodbury next year too.

They need to open one in the NW suburbs, like Maple Grove! I live in Princeton so both of those locations are a bit of a drive, especially with traffic. Maybe if I am ever in the area, I will check it out.
Thanks for the info.

I would loooove that! Plymouth is a good candidate, too. Or maybe Andover. It's a pilot store, so I'm guessing they're thinking of adding more locations.

Anyway, it's worth the trip if you end up down in the cities for something, to run by. Definitely worth checking out!

Hi, BTW. I always get excited seeing others from our state on 3FC. I was just up in Becker today.

Andover would be even better!! Maybe we should email the company and give them our suggestions?

Also, I am just excited about finding people from our state. It makes the board more of a reality for me.

Yay, one in Woodbury! I can shop there when I'm visiting my parents. Now they just need to get one in Madison so I can move back there. I seriously don't think I can live without Trader Joe's.

"Supposedly" they are opening a TJ in Cary, NC. Nothing's on their website, but there was a blip in the paper (on their website) that TJ had bought the lease on an old Winn Dixie that closed (all WD's in NC closed), and that they were tearing down the buildng a putting up a new one.

I sure hope it's true!!!! It's not exactly convenient, but I could do a once-a-month or so trip over there.
