Phase I Starters - Week of July 16
Can I Put My Umbrella Up too?
Hi there. I'm Sandy. I've been on many a diet since the age of 10 I think? Now, at almost 37 I have decided this time it is for me. I know many times before I said it was for ME! But, never ever quit!
I quit smoking for me and my health...why oh why can't I do something about this weight?
I have tried the SB diet before and although the first 2 weeks are rough ones, I like it. It works and you get somewhere with it. I believe it is also a wonderful way to be able to live once you can retrain yourself.
I'm all geared up for a Monday start. I hardly ever make time for breakfast at home...for the past year it's been a drive through breakfast 3 days out of a 5 day work week. So, back to the basics starting tomorrow.

hello!
I have been on the beach for 2 days and I am so excited.
Having 3 boys with cookies and muffins in the house isn't always easy....
I have had some cravings but I am finding ways to distract myself.
My only real complaint is my dry mouth. I am drinking alot more to sooth that, but I hope it goes away......
I have been on the recipe board and I am so excited to try some things out!
I look forward to sharing the beach with you all!!!!

I started the beach this week, and I am already thrilled with the results, but most thrilled my how full I feel. I always felt hungry on WW. I know the weight loss will slow down, but this is such a good feeling. I am looking forward to getting to know the others here, this is such a great site!

Hello, and Welcome! I am new to the forum, and in Phase 1 as well. I just started, today is day 5 and I have lost a mere 3 pounds. I have had several obstacles and success this week - and feel really good about that. Tonight I had a celebration party for my SIL for her b-day.
There was Cake and Ice Cream, Steak, Chips, Salsa, Sopes (Potato and Chorizo sauteed, put on a corn tortilla, with refried beans, lettuce, salsa, onion, guacamole, and lowfat (LOL) Sour Cream. I made a veggie salad with Balsamic vinagrette, and Mock Mashed potatoes (with cauliflower). There was beer and margaritas... I was able to eat everything on Phase 1 - didn't touch the poison (sugar/carbs) It was an interesting challenge to make everything fresh and to serve all the things I did and manage to not succumb to temptation. Just goes to show my addiction to sugar. Once I start, it's all downhill from there, so I just stuck to my goal and passed it up.
I really want to be successful and get beyond the 1st Phase. I have been fighting the same 10 pounds since January, and my first goal is to move past that and stay past that 10 without going back. It is good to be here!
