Default Red Plan Help

I got the red plan information from my sister in law who is a paid member. She is doing it with lites and are as follows:

2.5 protein, 3 fruit, 4 veg, 2 dairy, 1 fat, 3 starches and 2 Lites.

Can someone tell me what I do if I don't eat the lites. Do I just take those 2 and have 4.5 protein?? thanks.

I am currently 257 -- I am on red1 which is

P = 2 1/2
S = 4
D = 2
F = 4
F = 1

They told me i will be on Red1 (no lites) until I reach 227 then move to the plain red plan .. which I think you have. I think if you are at 229 now, you are on the right plan.

Good luck!

I agree with you Sue. I would not replace them with anything. I started at 218 on the red plan no lites, and I lost weight really well.

Oh, in that case, you should be on Red 1, without bars, which is
P = 2 1/2
S = 4
D = 2
F = 4
F = 1
V=4

Thanks she must not be on that one then. I guess I didn't know a difference. I will try this one then until I lose about 30. THanks so much for the help. I appreciate it.

Actually I have a question, if the sheet I got says 1 slice of bread is a starch but the servings say 2 slices, do I get just 1 or can I have what the servings size is??

Sadly, our portion sizes are that one slice of low-cal bread equals one starch.

A good rule of thumb on starches is not to go over 70 calories on a starch for the most part. I don't think that an occasional 100 calorie starch is going to kill you, but for most of the time, keep it under 70.

Hi Karla -- you know we can be weight loss buddies both being 257 (or similar).

Good luck and I hope you stay with it -- I joined a gym in February and in April started with weights; as much as the scale has been very cruel to me, I have to say how impressed I am with my body; while I have a long long long way to go, I looked at my back today and I have no rolls. Please dont laugh, but its true -- its tight and solid looking .. hard to believe for someone my size, but its working

Lets hope to be celebrating the 240's soon!

Hi Karla, I've found a GREAT way to have "real" bread. Sara Lee makes a bread called "Delightful". THere's white, wheat and 9 grain. Each slice is 45 calories, BUT, instead of that tiny slice that Orowheat makes, its a regular slice of bread. That REALLY helps me as I love bread and just couldn't get past those tiny, tiny slices.

I have a question - when do you move from red to purple? I HAVE a friend who I started on the program about 2 weeks ago (June 5). She started at 211 and is now down to 203 - when would you suggest she move or wait until she slows down in loss?
