Judd and Jon are gone. The pink wands are done, the Mavs are on now, and I'm ready for a little rest. I was going to go up there but decided I'd rather not stink like smoke tonight. I have to work 4 hours tomorrow, then will go get my hair done for the weekend (shampoo, blowdry, straightened). I haven't finalized plans for Father's Day yet but it won't hurt me to clean Saturday just in case.

I hope everyone is having a good night. It sure is slow on the board lately.

Your 'plantings' sound amazing Kathy - I love hibiscus - and sure hope yours flourish. Have fun getting ready for the big 'do'. Would love to cruise with you - can do Galveston if required - of course I would need to have my 'usual' balcony cabin!! - but I would also find a good 'deal' to keep costs down! Anyone else ready to cruise - let me know.

Hope you are finally relaxing and enoying the game!

Sandra - would love to be a travel writer - or reviewer of some type. Guess I would need to 'freelance' first? Like write articles or diary of trip and send it someplace? (I know not where) to see if they would publish it? (of course any monies collected would go right back into the Frouf Travel Fund!).

Niki - congrats on your loss and we all know the 'true' loss will appear once TOM is over! Something to look forward to!

Saw my co worker/cruise buddy today - she is so into it - so I guess it's a go - I was not sure if she was still interested - but she is so excited. Will be bringing in her passport # and credit card as well so we can book if required. Speaking of which my gf travel agent has NOT gotten back to me with any pricing/availbility. I shall call her tomorrow am - and if no results I shall feel free to book somewhere else!

Had a mild headache in pm - took some advil - left to take dd to orthodontist - turns out she went to friend's house after school - to bake a cake no less - and had to go back to ice if after the appt.

Since dh did NOT take anything out for dinner - I went to grocery store on my way home - but feeling so crappy - like that weak low blood sugar feeling (and had a meager lunch to boot and no afternoon snack) so it was a wonder I even got out of the store in one piece. So I was the crazy woman ripping open the arrowroot cookies so I could have some in the car and digging around for a green apple as well - yikes!

Dh had prepared some potatoes so I was able to prepare dinner very quickly as I had picked up some bbq chicken and canned peas - I felt so much better once I had eaten! Then off to pick up dd - change when I got home so I could go to the FITNESS PLACE - yes they close at 8 pm (last 30 min circuit at 7:30 pm) and I got there at around 7:25 and finished just in time. At least I did it! Tomorrow I will definitely go on my way home from work (and have a snack before I go!).

My headache is back a bit and I am super tired so I shall soon go to bed and read or watch tv (dh out at a friend's for awhile).

kathy, i don't have a clue where the k came from. guess it wasanother lucy moment. i just edited it out. now i wonder what i'll do next in my neverending lucy role.

frouf, freelancing might be the ticket. i think you should start writing/submitting now. that would be so neat to see you published. and adding to the frouf travel fund? awesome!

Good morning all. We didn't get home from berry picking until about 2 and them I had to clean them and freeze them. I was so exhausted last night I decided to take a short nap at about 6 and woke up at 10 so I just went to bed. I am still exhausted this morning. I have to work the next 3 nights, my last 3 day weekend and then my schedule is finally changing to every other weekend, so I may not post again until Monday. Have a great weekend everyone.

I fixed it, Sandra. You can't edit the title.

I have a lot of work to do this morning so I'd better get at it. I didn't get here until 7:30 (instead of 6:30 as planned), darn it.

Good morning,

I just stopped in before going downstairs to the kitchen. Bernie's birthday today, and he managed to get off tonight. We're going to a play that he's been wanting to see. We'll have a "light" dinner as there isn't time to go out. I've got a hair appointment at 12:30, so I'll look good for the ocasion.
I'll read soon....

Frouf, I think you should really consider doing some writing and submitting it. You're a talented lady. Everyone has to get their start somewhere, and stranger things have happend. Glad that you're so dedicated to the exercise, it's a great step in the right direction.

Sandra, glad to hear that you're going this morning. Remember, you're starting over and you CAN DO IT!

Kathy, good that you're giving yourself some ME time. Hope you consider making it a relaxing weekend. If you're going out for dinner, make a reservation, we couldn't get near any restaurants on Mother's Day.

Paula, sounds like the berry picking was fun. Glad that you're going to start alternating weekends. I'm so happy when Bernie is off, we can plan lots of good stuff.

Niki, I don't have to worry about monthly changes in my old body. You're doing really well, keep it up. I'm sure you earn lots of AP's with the kids.

Melissa, I'm so delighted that your having such a good time with the house. I just knew that you would, and look forward to some pics one of these days.

I picked up a nice roast yesterday, and plan to make it Monday in the Crock Pot. My aunt is coming on Wednesday and I want to be ready. I might make a mushroom barley soup as well. I spoke to Dave and he said that they would do a brunch on Saturday. Saturday night, Adam is taking my aunt to the casino. She's delighted about that, and Adam is such a sweetie, that I know it will be fun. Adam and I go see Cirque du Soleil, so Bernie has the honours. He'll probably take her out to dinner and maybe a movie. I might try to go to the Art Gallery to see the Emily Carr (Canadian artist) exhibit as well. I'm not used to such planning, but it's coming together.

Lovely day here, and I hope it is for all of you too.

Frouf I must be going crazy, I gave you the wrong web page, sorry: the right one is www.cruisevalue.com and I agree with Sandra, I think you have every right to shop around and buy from whoever makes you feel comfortable and offers you the closest to what you really want: it's your vacation!!
I hope you are feeling better, and have no more headaches, it might have to do with the warm weather and adjusting to the new medication?

I have to run as dh is waiting for me to go visit our close friend who's at the hospital... I'll try to come back later... Have a great day,

Maggie

Thanks Maggie - yes I have 'cruised' that site before and it has good deals - nice to know of someone that has actually used it with good results!

Speaking of which CRUISE #1 is a done deal - can you believe it? Finally heard back from gf travel agent - ended up paying $30 more so I could 'pick' my cabin instead of having one assigned - which I think is worth it (there were lots of cabins under the pool deck - and if you are not cruise-wise you would be up very early in the am as they drag the chairs around and clean the decks!). We are in a balcony cabin in a lovely location - flying a day early (via Chicago Vicke - hope we don't get lost in the massive airport!). My gf and I are very excited - and she esp as she is a cruise virgin and has not travelled extensively.

Saundra - Sounds like the plan for your aunt's visit is coming together nicely - I'm sure she will have loads of fun!

And you reminded me to make a reservation for father's day on Sunday - as this is a joint celebration for dh and finally ds' 20th birthday!

Kathy - I agree that making a dinner reservation is the way to go!

Where's Vickie by the way? Still recuperating from the slumber party?

Went to bed too late - still have a bit of a headache - and probably cuz I have not eaten much yet? Was too busy w/cruise planning to eat breakfast - finally had a coffee and yogurt at 11:30 am - now I must eat lunch - maybe another advil?

Dh a bit under the weather - not sure why - feeling depressed? Decided not to go out for the 'boys' night' tonight? Guess we'll stay home and hopefully relax???

I am definitely planning to go to the gym on the way home from work today!!! (but I will have a good protein snack before I go!).

Later,

Frouf

Nah, no reservation will be necessary for Father's Day. I can almost guarantee you that! LOL! I still am leaning toward having everyone here and grilling, but I will probably be out-voted.

The little neighbor boy just said the cutest thing to me. I was out front planting flowers and he was "helping". He is six. Zuki was running around and peeing on everyone's mailbox posts. I said "That Zuki sure is a pee-er, isn't he?" and he said, "Yep, he is. I'm not a pee-er but my grandma is. She pees all the time because she doesn't have bladder control." I just about died laughing!

So I finished the flowers and Shaun cleaned the carpet with the Kirby (which has a cleaning system) and now it's better. I'm waiting for Judd to get home because I don't know what the evening plans are, except that the game starts at 7:05. I hope he realizes I can't walk for miles and miles. We usually park at our office and walk (actually it's about 1/2 mile) but I can't even do that. Oh well.

I won't be back until tomorrow so everyone have a great evening.

Hello Chicks! Here I am. God, I feel like I haven't been on in forever. Probably, because I haven't been on much since Tuesday. We were very busy again today and were up and out early. I just got home. I had a small meltdown at lunch today and consumed quite a bit of carbs. Nothing to be done about it now. I'll only be having a small bite later if I get hungry.

I don't even know where to begin since I'm so far behind. I think I'll go back and see if I can catch up and respond to posts. I have to go back to board 45!

Holy Moly am I ever far behind! I haven't posted much since page 26 on Core Board 45. Why you all hardly missed me at all!

Sorry....I have to go again. I'm on the phone with LaZBoy customer service. The are giving us NO service and I have to fight with them now. I'll try to be back.
