My brother is getting married in PA next month, and I'm planning on doing a little sight-seeing while I'm there. I'm not sure if the rides at Hershey Park would accomodate my current size, though. I am trying to get a tentative schedule set up, and I'm not sure if I should include the park or not. Any suggestions?

Hi jo!

I have been there though it was years ago. I remember wanting to ride the "Mouse" and being unable to get the bar down over my gut enough for it to be safe for me to ride. It was the last ride I have ever attempted.

It's a pretty park, very hilly for walking though and I think there are other things to do other than just the rides.

Sorry to sound discouraging, but I know the embarrassment that goes with not being able to "fit" on a ride. But one day, I will do it again!

I went there a few years ago. I didn't ride the rides, but I'll never forget sitting at an outdoor table while my son was on a roller coaster. The table was like a concrete picnic table, and the seats were individual plastic, but they were bolted down. I managed to slide in ok, but when it was time to get up, I was stuck! My belly was so big that I was trapped between the table and the chair! All I could do was laugh, lol, and carefully sqeeze myself out of it. Fortunately it was a slow day and there was only one witness

I guess the hidden dangers are everywhere, lol. If you go, please have a good time, as I'm sure there are many things you will be able to enjoy. Drink lots of water, pack something healthy to nibble on so you can avoid most of the chocolate temptations, and walk and walk and walk and you'll probably come back thinner
