Vickie, what I did this time for my sloppy joes was just throw a bunch of stuff in there. I'm not sure I could even replicate it.
I browned a pound of 93% ground beef. Then I added about 1/2 cup tomato sauce, the same of ketchup and about 1/3c. water. I squeezed in some mustard (dh likes mustard in his sloppy joes), and some Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt. Then I let that simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes or so, until it had gotten to a good consistencey.
It's pretty plain, but my family loves it.
