I signed up for a three month membership at the park district in my town. This is my second week there and I visit three times a week. I usually stay about 45 minutes doing treadmill, stairmaster, and I'm not sure what you call this other machine but you sit in it and it makes you do some sort of crunch forward you push with your upper chest... also get on this machine that has you going from side-to-side turn. I want to tone my upper arms and of course I have that tummy issue going on... Should I check out some of the other machines? The assistant their tried to get me on that ab cruncher thing I asked her to suggest something that's easier.. lol I know that was wrong.. lol... hey I want to have fun too I'm turning 40 in August and I want to get toned and in a regular exercise regimen.. sometimes the gym can be a little intimidating... Okay give me feedback...
I got my weightlifting in this evening and I just ran at work. It was very busy. But that's a good thing because it's snowing here. So much for biking today.
In my woolly socks, heavy sweats, tshirt, sweat shirt, jacket, toque and mitts (and I wished I'd had a scarf) ... I biked 5.6 km's. Brrrr.
I'm doing a metric flip on y'all. It's easier for me to figure because a country block is 2 kms. Easier than adding all those miles and quarters. So rounded out for simplicity ... 25 kms a week for 100 kms in April.
Would you mind if I joined? I need some exercise accountability.
I just want to stay consistent with getting in cardio (elliptical), other things will come. I exercise M-F, and Saturday is optional.
Last night:
4.6 miles on the elliptical (55 minutes).
Want to get back to running again, but I haven't run since I was in the 180's and I guess I'm too afraid to really try, being so heavy. I hate failing!
