Default Healthy Slow Cooker Recipes?

Hubby and I are considering buying a slow cooker. I've never had one before, and I really don't enjoy cooking, but I've heard that there are amazing things you can do with them and I'm thinking that the meals could be quite healthy. I'm also thinking that they would be good for me because a lot if it sounds like 'throw it all together and let it cook itself!'. That is MY kind of cooking.

I was wondering if anyone had any favourite recipes or recipe sites that they would share. This has probably been posted before, but I looked back on a few pages and couldn't find anything, and didn't want to check them ALL out... there are a lot of pages here!

I just wanted to check out some recipes first, to make sure that it WOULD get used before we bought one.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Zelma

Hi Zelma

Oh you will NOT be sorry! I have been doing crockpot cooking the past couple of months and it is incredible how easy it is to have healthful meals; and I can just freeze individual portions!

Try this!

The burger heaven was good, and you can use turkey if you don't want the burger. The chicken stroganoff is good too! My friends and I have tried several of them and are sharing via email which are the good ones.. and the ones that bombed LOL

You can also find stuff at

If you like sauerkraut, try the chicken deli casserole at www.recipeland.com. My friend and both I both make it and consider it our favorite...and SO easy! I could not find low fat Russian dressing so used Catalina and it is yummy!!!! I also doubled the amount of sauerkraut and dressing so there would be plenty to eat with my smaller chicken portions.
