feel like i have no bum
Is there any kind of exercise that creates more of a bum? LOL
I know most people want a smaller bum, but I can't fill out the back of my pants! LOL (I'm more of an apple shape and my butt isn't big even when I'm heavier) Do I just need to accept that I have no bum? Or is there something I can do about it? LOL!

Me too, plenty of booty to share free for the taking!
To a certain extent genetics will always influence your body shape, but there’s no reason you can tone and lift what you’ve got to work with. Any of these exercises should help http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/HipsWt.html. You can start by doing some of those barbell moves without any added weight. I find squats and lunges challenging enough without adding any barbells or dumbbells to the equation.

Thanks for the link.
You're all toooo funny.
Hey, we all have something we're self conscious of.
It's never good enough....
I guess I have my mother to blame LOL
But I don't mind the no hips that goes along with it-then again, I have a thick waist, so you just can't win....

I'm with you on this one. I've always carried all of my weight up front. My mom says it's because I like to keep an eye on everything.
I have found a few exercises that help. You won't get a J-Lo butt or anything, but at least it helps in making my jeans not look like someone moved out of the seat!
* Stairmaster
* Reverse elliptical (instead of running forwards, you run backwards)
* lunges and reverse lunges
* Any kind of step work
Basically, these work to firm up whatever muscle can get built!

LOL
I even had a breast reduction about 6 years ago so now I REALLY feel like I have nothing.
No butt, no chest...LOL
I'll tell ya, though, it IS nice in the summer not to have all that hanging off me LOL
I wish I had an elliptical at home. Those look nice-no impact or anything.
I do have a rebounder. Any ideas that I can do besides my usual running in place?

I would think the nice thing about having no bum or breast is that you can buy the padded underwear and you can get the size you like. Unlike those of us who have a little too much of each. We have to get the old granny type undies so we have the support.

Hey
I bought the "glutes" special fro Oxygen magazine...in there it stated that you should be doing glutes 3-4 times a weeks with moderate to heavy weights to really see a change in size....
do lunges, squats etc and push through you heels...

Heavy squats and lunges--gives you a nice high bubble butt! (and a sore one, too)

One thing I've noticed over the years is that figure skaters tend to have bubble butts. Even the guys (yes, I'm looking at their butts while they skate ). Actually, it's more obvious on the guys because they wear those tight little pants instead of those little skater skirts, which sort of float over the butt.
If I wanted to build up my butt (which I most certainly do NOT, since I already give J-Lo a run for the money, and then some), I'd consider looking into figure skating. If I could skate...

One tip for butt exercises. If I don't feel my cheeks burn, I don't get any results. I'm not saying it has to be painful, but in the last few reps of each set, you really need to be feeling the glutes at work. Squats and lunges really do work well if you have enough weight in your hands.
