Exclamation I can't believe it's not core!

Well,
I found this recipe for Spinach corn casserole that looked like it would be core but....

much to my dismay, creamed corn is not core - it has sugar as one of the main ingredients! I then proceeded to check out some of the other corn I had been using and at least 3 regular canned corn brands have sugar in them to sweeten them as well!

Gosh I will have to be even more careful about these frozen and canned veggies !

(Anyway, I substituted canned corn without any sugar and 2 eggs to imitate the creamed factor that was missing and it turned out OK).

Yeah, I hate that creamed corn isn't core because I love it and it is one of the few veggies DH likes as well. We eat it occasionally for something different can't count it as core! That was a good improvisation you made though.
