Default Beginner - strength training

I started my strength training yesterday and actually did it again today! Really, it's pretty short but I worked up a sweat! Well, I was clammy feeling, like sweat was breaking out on me but not actually flowing. Still, I could feel the heat and the energy just whirling around inside my body after that. It was amazing. I've never ever done any sort of exercise but cardio and maybe some ab work so I didn't know what to expect. Is that rush of energy normal for strength training? Cos if it is, I really liked it and could definitely see it becoming addictive!

And the funny thing, the scale registered a change, too after sitting at the same weight for 2 weeks! Coincidence? Or is my metabolism actually speeded up by this even after just one day?

As I had no idea where to even begin, I fished out a copy of Jorge Crusie's 8 Minutes in the Morning that came free with a magazine I bought last year. I don't have any dumbbells so I used the heaviest jars I had in the pantry that I could comfortable get my hand around! Believe me, even that was still a bit challenging! I just figured why wait? I'm going to get the weights this weekend but was busting to get started so I just made do with what I had and got busy.

I wanted to tell you that you said something that I wish I could shout from the roof tops some days ...... I just figured why wait? I'm going to get the weights this weekend but was busting to get started so I just made do with what I had and got busy

Try this link... This site is a hilarious but also very serious point of view on weight training... Krista Smash has great ideas for home or gym workouts, information on nutrition too....
