I just made a smoothie for the first time. Are you supposed to need a spoon?

I think it's much less hassle (and washing up) just to eat the fruit

If you want it more liquidy, add juice, like orange juice. Smoothies are a bit messy! And you can overdo your fruit allocation (depending on what plan your on)

or you could add water!

I tend to do a protein shake with milk and water and add blueberries or banana or something!

That's what I do too.... I also measure carefully so I don't overdo the fruits... If you like it thick with less fruit add ice when blending...

I make mine with frozen fruit, chop them up, then add half a glass of milk and a scoop of whey protien...and some vanilla extract if its not vanilla-ish enough for me. Mine are thick, too, if they are too thick, add less frozen stuff and more milk or water or (sugar free) juice.

Have fun with them!!

I love my smoothies!!! They keep me from eating something else sweet that is not good for me. I use three average size strawberries, one third of a large banana, 1/2 small cup of yogurt and about 4 oz of milk and some ice. Blend it up and it is yummy and keeps my sweet tooth satisfied.

I find them a bit fiddly to make for myself to be honest and usually just have some fruit in a bowl with some yoghurt rather than getting the blender out. there's a shop near work that does gorgeous smoothies, but they're a bit pricey to drink regularly unfortunately.

lovely smoothie as I posted someone else is banana (its even better if you freeze it first) natural yogurt you can add an apple if you want and it makes it less yoggy but its just as nice without, strawberries and a bit of muesli. I hate muesli but even I like that one great for brekkie.

It took me ages to get use to making smoothies.... first 10 or so went so wrong, one I made the spoon would stand up in it!

Now like others I find them great for a breakfast and really quick to make. I love Strawberry and Blueberries in mine!
