Thank you guys for the warm welcome!
This site has been a godsend, I searched for a while for something and there you guys were.
The only problem I am really having is recipes, the new cookbook isn't in yet, and I have searced all the LA recipes, just sorta freaked out on how to portion them, etc.. What did you guys do iun the begining?
thanks,
lizzy

lizzy.

In the beggining there was chicken, chicken and more chicken

But we have learned to make most meals LAWL friendly....so just let us know some of your favs and we can probably give you an LAWL idea for it.

Anyway, Welcome to the group. Are you in Falcon, CO right now? I used to live out between Colo. Springs and Ellicott. I went to school at Ellicott.

I am in Falcon until the 14th Debbie, how long since you have been gone? It is so crowded here now, you wouldn't recogonize it.
Ok, for food, we have been doing alot of grilling, then I do my sides for the fam, I only have on 18 yr dd , and of course one dh, but when it is cold grilling is old. We love casseroles, soups, chilis, I think you are right, it just takse time to get the list down, and I am gold, hey thanks for the Luna bar tip, I bought 5 weeks bulk, but yummy on the lunas, switch between them in the am/pm.Well now I have jumped all over the place, thanks again,
Lizzy

Lizzie,
We moved away from CS in 1994 and moved to Grand Junction on the other side of the mountains. We lived there until 2000 and then moved up here to Montana. Both of our parents still live in CS so we go down there a couple times a year. It is crazy how fast it is growing. When I was in high school, all that was in Falcon was the little convenience store, tack shop and liquor store on 24 and the fire station on the other side, the rest was pasture. I love to go shopping down there, but living in a city of only 50,000, We tend to go crazy in a city of just about a million and can only handle a week at a time. Nice to visit but I don't think I could ever live there again. I do really miss walking out our door everyday and seeing Pikes Peak.

Is your DH in the military? Good luck on your move.

Hey girls,
Debbie, not military, but blessings to you who are. Ans there is a new sign in Falcon that says WALMART, can you believe that? Glad I will be gone.

I have been eating alot of chicken as well, but we do love to grill, I have also gone through all the recipes, some look hard to convert so like you guys recomeneded I will give it a little time before I start that. Everyone have a great day.
