S/C/G: 16.8/16.5/10.7

Default Newbie from UK

Hi all, just found this site by accident while looking on the internet at my BMI, trying to find a site that said I wasn't morbidly obese at 43.9. Needless to say, i couldn't find one but did find this site, so joined up and here I am

I'm from the Uk am 42 years old and weigh in at a hefty 16.5 today, yesterday it was 16.8, so I'm on a roll!!!!

About 12 years ago I managed to lose 5 stone and got down to 9.5, but as you can see in the interveening years not only have I put it all back on but also managed to gain an extra 2 stone too.

I'm starting to get worried about my health now though, I've forever got backache and my knees are making a horrible sound when I bend them, also getting a bra to fit has become a nightmare and I have such indents in my shoulders from cutting bra straps that at times I get tingles down my arms.

The time has come to do something NOW!

Hopefully with you guys as backup, this time I'll be able to manage more than 2 days at a time on a diet, this time it will be a long stretch.

Jennie

Hello and a warm welcome to you!!!

I was 19 stone at the beginning of last year, what a shock!!!

I think the hardest thing is learning that diets don't work, and you have to completely change your lifestyle. It can be done though, and it can be a lot of fun. I never would have done this well without 3FC!!!

Jump right in, and have fun!!

Hi Jennie

I'm new to this site too but it looks like it will be a really good source of support. I am the typical yo-yo dieter so I can see where you're coming from.

Good Luck!
