Default Morton's Lite Salt

Does any not do the Morton's Lite Salt? I can't stand salting my food and hate the way it tastes. I just wanted to know if anyone doesn't do the salt, what does your COD say and if you aren't doing the salt are you still losing AND what benfit does the salt provide if it is necessary? I know, I know lots of questions lol. I know it says in the food plan that the MLS provides necessary potassium, but if I eat a kiwi fruit (which btw has more potassium than a banana) I get lots of potassium that way. Thanks!

If you just plain aren't liking salt (silly you - I LOVE salt!) then you might try eating more potassium rich foods - which is the point of using the lite salt - reduce sodium, maintain potassium... below are some foods rich in potassium - maybe you can find some that are OP.
Fruit
Apple
Apricot, fresh
Banana
Dates, dried
Grapes, green seedless
Orange Juice, fresh
Papaya
Peach
Pineapple, fresh
Prune Juice, unsweetened
Raisins
Strawberries, fresh
Veggies
Asparagus, cooked
Artichoke
Brocolli
Cabbage, cooked
Celery, raw
Corn, on cob
Green Beans
Green Pepper
Kidney Beans, canned
Lettuce, iceburg
Lettuce, romaine
Onion
Peas, fresh cooked
Potato, baked with skin
Pumpkin, canned
Spinach, steamed
Sweet Potato
Tomato
Dairy
Ice Cream
Milk, skim
Yogurt, lowfat
Misc
Bread, wheat
Brazil Nuts
Egg
Hamburger
Peanuts, roasted w/skin
Peanut Butter, natural
Rice, brown
Rice, white
Salmon, canned

I use MLS sometimes, but I NEVER get in 1/4 tsp. I'm lucky if I get half that!

My COD said the same thing as Mary. It's good for potassium. She suggested I get a potassium supplement from any pharmacy, and I wouldn't have to do MLS. I think MLS has like 340 mg potassium per 1/4 tsp. So I would try to find a similar strength potassium supplement (around 400 mg).

But I admit, I'm no dietician! You may need to verify with your COD.

I don't do the Morton Lite Salt. I can't due to medication I'm currently taking for my BP.

Mary, The owners of Diet Center live a few miles from us. They are so rich, and the parents are really nice people. They have done some wonderful things in our town. There used to be a diet center here, but it closed a long time ago. Are there still Diet Centers around?

I didn't used to use the MLS, but started getting back spasms a few weeks ago. Nobody ever noticed at the COD that it wasn't checked off in my diary - such careful counselors they are! But, I asked them about it a week or so ago and they said it was important for the potassium. I mentioned this to my DH who immediately made the connection between my lack of potassium and my back spasms. Started the MLS and the spasms went away!!!

I also had done Diet Center ages ago to lose that extra "freshman" weight. It worked great and I always did the lemon water. I still do the lemon water often with LAWL. I think it is helpful. My DH also went out and got me a bottle of one-a-day vitamins, and selected the brand with the most Potassium. Of course the LAWL version doesn't contain any potassium, and if they had one with the Potassium they'd likely charge $89 for it! :-) Sorry for my synicism.

Gymgurl, what bcpill do you use? Because if it is the same one as mine I won't worry about the MLS.
