Unhappy Cellulite

Has anyone who has cellulite ever had it go away after losing weight? I've lost 30 lbs., but I still have a lot of cellulite on my thighs

I don't expect it will ever go away completely, but I'm hoping it will get a little better. I've been working out at Curves for 2 years and I can feel more muscle underneath the fat, but my thighs are so jiggly!

Do any of those cellulite creams work?

From what I heard about those creams is they don't make them go away. It swells up the skin around the cellulite making it look like they went away.

Now, I heard on my local news a couple months ago, they had a cream that actually "melts" it away. I don't know if that's true or not but some people will buy just about anything to lose weight/cellulite.

Those creams sound too good to be true - you never see any 'before and after' photos

I'm not going to waste my money on stuff that doesn't work. I'll just have to wait and see if I get any improvement when I reach my goal weight.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Those creams, including the "firming" creams, are pretty much a joke just to get money out of you. I don't know if any of the cellulite creams actually work, as I've never had a problem with cellulite, but to me they fall on the same level as diet pills and "miracle" weight loss remedies - if any of that stuff really worked, none of us would have a weight problem.

Yeah...I have been using this Jergens Firming lotion, I really don't think it makes my cellulite go away, but it does seem to moisturize better than any lotion I have ever tried...

I use the Jergens also..it seems to make my skin stay softer longer than the other lotions.
I think what we have to do is firm our bodies as we lose the weight. I have noticed alot of hanging skin on me and the back of my thighs are starting to look like cottage cheese. EEEEwwwwwwWW!!!!!!! LOL! I am going to check on a DVD to firm my body...maybe tha'ts what we need??? or go talk to a weight specialist over at WEBMd??? What do you gals think??? I'd like to hear some input.

I have very bad cellulite on my thighs and bum, as I have lost weight, my bum has certainly improved on the cellulite front, just by diet and exercise. I do make sure I keep my skin moisturised, as it at least makes the cellulite look a little better.

From what I have read, the best thing to do is to keep your luids as high as possible, keep dieting and exercising, and it will minimise the cellulite, but it is unlikely to ever go away without surgical intervention. I plan just to live with it if possible, thank goodness for sarongs!

Hi penpal
I have shocing cellulite at the moment but when I am about 180 it goes away. Its just exercise and eating well. Even skinny girls have it, I think a little bits okay. Once you get down to a certain weight I am sure it will just start disappearing (if yoiu keep exercising)

Thanks for all your tips and advice everyone!

I'm hopeful that I'll get a bit of improvement once the weight comes off.

Once upon a time, I lost about 20 pounds and the cellulite did go away... so there is hope!

I've lost about 25 pounds and have seen a HUGE difference in the cellulite on my butt and thighs. I don't know if age has anything to do with it though (like with the loose skin thing), but I would imagine the younger you are the easier time you would have.
