Linda, hope you didn't get hit too badly. I'm eager to know how you are!

The coastal areas in Oregon had incredibly high winds, but that's fairly normal during the winter. I was watching NW cable news and saw that one of the floating bridges in Seattle had been closed because the water was over the top.

When I went to the gym this morning, everybody was talking about power outages all over town, but we didn't have any in our neighborhood. And I even got the laundry and dishes done, and washed my face and brushed my teeth early in case the power went out. Maybe all that good planning saved us?!? Anyway, the worst we got was that the cable TV went out so we couldn't track the storm.

Vancouver area was hit in the oddest of ways... malls are closed all over the place! It sounds odd for me to know all of this, but my bf is a manager in a store and there are 3 of their locations closed. Which also means all 3 of those malls are closed.. so crazy. Can you imagine 3 cities have their malls closed on a friday before christmas.. I can't wrap my mind around it.

Sheila - good to hear your power is still up.

Linda?

I'm heeeeere!

You guys are the BEST

We are just fine, the power stayed on. The wind was picking up by the time we went to bed at midnight, and I managed to sleep through it, and so did the kids. The Island did get hit really hard, but I suppose we had our bad luck and someone was looking out for us the third time around!

I'm so happy to have that over with (for now)

Off to Rudy's Christmas party

I was thinking about you guys yesterday with all the wacky weather that is going on out west. I am glad everyone is okay. (I won't speak about the weather that we are having in Ontario)
