Default New member - 300+ - eek!
Hi - I am a new member, and I really hope I can do this this time! I weigh 316 (just lost two pounds from the most I've ever weighed in my life). I have lost weight twice in my life. Once in high school, 10th grade, where I went from 200 down to 160. Then in 2003, after my divorce and move to California, I went from 315 to 260. Since then I have once again gained it back and then some. My current boyfriend has tried to motivate me in many different ways - the last of which has been to say that when I lose 100 lbs we will get married. I am over 6' tall and a normal weight maximum for me should be around 180-190. so here i go. i'm not losing weight just to get married because let's face it - who know sif it would really happen. but my weight has become a problem in my life, health, career, and relationship.

Well you've made the first step by coming here. You'll find the most amazing support system anyone could ever ask for! These ladies (and a couple remarkable men) are so inspiring. Everyone here will pick you up when you're down and help you get to where you want to be!

Like the others said, this is a great place for support. I'm just starting back after losing 96 lbs in 10 months and gaining back 79 in the following 13 months.

I'm 5'11" and am looking to get in the 180 range as my ultimate goal as well so we're in the same position! I'm slightly heavier than you though and slightly shorter so you have less to lose.

I hope to see you here alot. Posting (successes and things that aren't so successful) really keeps you going. It's nice to know that others are in the same position and that you can always find someone that really understands here, to help you along the way.

I'm so glad you are here. 3fc (the 100 lb club in particular) has helped me so much over the past year and I know posting here will make a difference for you too. Congratulations on getting started - that's the hardest part!

I'm really glad that youre losing weight for your health!! I love it when people use that as a motivation point
