December NSV's
Hope nobody minds that I started this thread, but I posted in November and realized Omigosh, it is now December. 23 more sleeps until Christmas!
I had to add my NSV from last night. I was over at a friend's house for dinner last night, and when taking servings for myself, I took just enough (to the point where I could see the plate). This is a big thing for me as portion control is such a huge issue with me, that for me just to take enough and not be stuffed by the end of dinner was great. The fact that I left the table satisifed but not full was a great feeling!

that is awesome Carol. If we could all remember how good that feels when we get the urge to overeat, we would be in a great place!

Boy do I need this thread as I am having issues with the scale atm.
My NSV is that today I was able to walk on the treadmill for 10 min of my workout at an 8% incline going 3.0 mi/hr and then could do 15 min at 3.4 mi/hr @ a 2% incline. It has only been a couple weeks since I started and I started walking at a 2% incline @ 2.6-2.8 mi/hr.
Also I can do an hour on either the elliptical or the treadmill now. The first day we got the elliptical I could do about 5 min.
So my fitness is stedily improving. I wish the scale would show more improvement.

Awesome, Victoria and Carol!
My NSV so far--I've walked two days in a row for 30 minutes! This is MAJOR accomplishment for me.
And today, I'm gonna make it three days in a row!

My NSV is going to be that I will look fab at tonight's office Christmas party. I've not got changed yet, but I just know that I'm going to look better than they've ever seen me. This is the image I've had in my head all year, that I'd be getting towards goal for the party season, and even though the party is going to be less dressy than I hoped I'm still planning to wear a fab dress. Who cares that other people will be in jeans. I've got a body I'm proud of and I'm determined to flatter it!

You all are doing so great!! I am proud of you! Today's NSV for me was even though I didn't want to I finally managed to get in my 2miles watp workout. Overcoming the urge to avoid exercise is a great NSV for me.

Great ones Helen and Jen!
Yesterday I walked into a video store we've been going to for years, though I haven't been there in months. To detract people from walking back out through the entrance, they installed a turnstile. I hate it, because it's kind of narrow and I have to be careful not to get hung up, or worse -- stuck! I am always aware that I do more than brush against the sides. So, I was shocked yesterday when I walked through it and popped out the other side easy as you please! We went back that night, where I confirmed it again!

Great NSV's everyone! I have one of my own to share.
I bought a size 20 pair of jeans at WalMart this morning hoping that I could get into them. I tried them on when I got home. They Fit!! I had been wearing a size 22 jeans. I am so excited.

Great job everyone!
Heres another one for me. Since I started on 11/13 I've lost 2.5" off my chest, 2.25" off my waist, and 0.5" off my hips.
I need to keep focusing on my NSV because the scale is getting me down right now.
