Default I've lost nearly 3 feet!!!

Hi guys and gals,

Just thought I'd share an amazing revelation I had when I looked over my inch loss record. Normally I just stay focused on the month to month, so notice an inch off here and there - but yesterday I looked back to where I started in January, up to September.

Wow, what a revelation, and it has really helped me to realise how far I've come and what a totally different shape I am now!

In total I have lost 34 inches (that's where the 3 feet comes in! ). I've lost 7 inches from my hips, 6 from my waist, 4 1/2 from my bust (believe me, that's a good thing!) and 5 1/2 from each thigh! Amongst other losses from my arms, calves , knees and ankles. I was so amazed to see such a big loss from my thighs - I could have sworn there is hardly any difference from when I started!

So in all this has been a totally positive revelation - it is amazing how all those inches and half inches add up over a few months. I can't believe I am a half a foot slimmer now!

Thanks for listening - hope it inspires you to start recording your inch loss!

Love Amanda x

That's awesome Amanda!! I love it when people keep track of their inches lost, it can be such great motivator. I only wish I'd had the presence of mind to track my own, I'd be very interested in knowing the final tallies. Keep up the good work Amanda, you're doing great!!

That's fabbo, Amanda! You're doing a great job!

I measure myself periodically as well. Since I started, I've dropped:
  • 3½" from my bust; (My girlies just don't want to shrink much!)
  • 8" from my waist; and
  • 6½" from my hips.

Amanda - I hadn't thought about it up until now (and I didn't measure quite at my heaviest), but I'm amazed to see that I've lost 42" That's 13" off my bust, 16" off the waist and 13" off the hips.

Amanda,

Congratulations! That's so exciting. I have been tracking my inches but I but I don't have them with me. (I always come on 3FC @ work... shh!) I'm due to measure this week though so maybe I'll post them then. This post has me thinking that I really AM going to lose weight. I am so much more informed this time than my first attempt and I lost my first attempt also. I only fell off the wagon because I got side tracked by a new relationship and I do NOT think I would ever let that happen again! So, again, congratulations! :-D

Wow, makes sense especially since muscle weighs more than fat. You may be way leaner but not see it reflected on the scale as much as you'd like (happens eventually though I quess). Keep up the great work. I am trying to build some activity into my day and hope to lose some inches too! I am in between sizes and refuse to buy any new fall clothes when I have perfectly fine ones to shrink into.

Amanda, that is so COOL!!!! Congratulations...awesome job!

I'm so glad you posted this. I've been keeping track of my inches lost thru Curves, and it seems to motivate me more than the lbs (more visable, I think). I never thought of it the way you put it though. Since I started at Curves, I've lost 16.75"...1.9 feet!

Keep up the good work!

Congrats Amanada! That's great! (I love your title to this thread, BTW). Measuring inches is great especially for those weeks when the scale doesn't move. You're still able to see progress. Keep up the good work!
