The New York Times has an inside magazine, on the cover they had a picture of Bin Laden. I couldn't help thinking what a terrible choice for a day that should be for remembering all the lives that were lost and some of the amazing heroes that stepped up in a terrifying time.
On the musical fund raiser that was on tv Friday night for the victims of Katrina, one of the stars said a quote from To Kill a Mockingbird: Real courage is when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. I think that quote fits the spirit of many of the people involved that day. |
