Yes, Ali, don't you know Kashi puts an addictive chemical in their products to make you crave it after the first box is finished? I've just discovered Kashi honey sesame crackers and feel compelled to eat them daily!

Sorry about the allergies, Dawnyal, I suffer from migraines and understand how headaches can drive you insane. That's a priceless story about the cheesecake ~ between dropping a slice and then the whole pan I'd say it was definitely not meant to be!

Glad to see you posting, Apryl. Just make sure you fit it into your busy schedule once you start school. You're on a mission, remember? Hmm, Miss Sandi is next on my MIA list. Yoo Hoo! Where are you??

After my strange weekend and getting back on track on Monday, Tuesday turned into another "out of sorts" day. I hadn't felt well over the weekend and put it down to paint fumes, but today I realized I'm coming down with something. My throat was on fire all day and I thought I was going to hack up a lung. Thus my post is not the usual "point" count.

Tuesday
Early Morning
Raisin bran and 1% milk
large mug of tea
Mid-morning
Tea with honey
Afternoon
I wasn't hungry and my throat was very sore. Someone recommended a sort of smoothie concoction from the health-food store and it was soothing and healthy. It sounds rather disgusting, but after awhile tasted rather pleasant. It was soy milk, green tea, strawberries and ice, whipped up in a blender.
Late Afternoon
1 litre bottle of lemon-flavoured mineral water
Dinner
Campbell's chicken vegetable soup with 7 Kashi crackers
500ml bottle of spring water
Evening
Tea with lemon

Exercise: Morning walk with dog. I had to work very late tonight and didn't feel well in any event, so that's my excuse for the lack of exercise...

Well, I got up at 5:30 this morning, which is the time when I normally leave my house (usually start waking up at about 4:30), so I didn't get to pack all of my food like I usually do. I grabbed a jar of pineapple, so I had some of that for breakfast and will have more as a snack in a few hours, so here's what I'm thinking today might end up being like:

  • pineapple chunks
  • more pineapple chunks
  • salad (lettuce, cucumber, egg, cheese, and honey mustard dressing--from the cafeteria downstairs)
  • turkey burger patty with bbq sauce and a side of creamed cauliflower (from Ruby Tuesday right before my shift starts)

Yesterday I did well until after dinner. I sat down with some peanut butter and crackers. The good news is it got rid of my headache. I'm pretty sure TOM is here so I'm just going to worry about getting through it, hopefully quickly and getting my system back on track.
Tuesday's eats
B-Oatmeal
L-Chunky baked potato soup and two slices bread
AS-Doughnut
D-Hamburger helper, steamed broccoli, mixed veggies
ES-peanut butter and crackers

OHMY I just realized when I came here to post (DH is giving the kiddos a bath ) that I haven't posted here since last...Sunday, I think! Ack! Maybe it has been longer. Don't hurt me Jill

I'll just put my calorie count for up until today - I've been on plan but over my 1800 some days, which I don't normally worry about but I didn't lose anything this week (the first week I haven't lost). I'm okay with losing slowly but I do want to lose consistently. So...I need to hold under that 1800 more and drink more water, I think...no problem as I love it. I've GOT to get out to exercise more - it's so hard right now b/c I pretty much always have to take the kids when I walk which is fine BUT my 4 year old got a bike for her b-day and she's still unsure on it (a real bike with training wheels) - that along with the fact that the baby wants to walk every where himself now instead of riding in the stroller - makes things sloooooooow going.

Oh, there I go rambling again...

Sunday: 1927 calories
Monday: 2016 calories
Tuesday: 1997

Today - Wednesday:

Breakfast: Kashi & 1% milk
Lunch: Strawberry smoothie (1% milk, strawberries, cherries, dry pudding mix), granola bar, crackers
Snack: carrots, dill pickle
Dinner: Breaded fish, ravioli, popcorn shrimp, mushrooms, cocktail sauce
Snack: 2 very small cupcakes , sunflower seeds
Drinks: 5 oz of DH's cola , water

calories: 1628

Hi Ladies,

Apryl I will be thinking of you with your extra busy schedule

Today was somewhere between OP and a disaster day

Had a typical breakfast and snack SKIPPED LUNCH and over did dinner and ES.
Skipping meals never works for me. Just got extra busy and didn't take care of myself.

WATP - 3 mile

See ya, DCM

Well, yesterday's "turkey burger patty with bbq sauce and a side of creamed cauliflower" turned into an appetizer of chicken and veggie pot stickers intead (or "asian steamed dumplings" as Ruby's likes to call them), which still has less than 500 calories for the whole thing (including sauce!), so still ended up around 1500 calories for yesterday

Tonight is weigh-in at TOPS--I think I am doing well and will be down again this week. Here's today's eats:
  • scrambled eggs and sausage
  • salad
  • Subway sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub with chips
Tonight should be the night I finally officially get out of the 280s

WEDNESDAY

Breakfast:
walnuts (pre-commute)
yogurt

Lunch: (working lunch out at the pub -- bad "appetizer" choices overall)
cheese soup
2 chicken tenders
2 buffalo wings
2 baked potato skins w/cheese and bacon and sour cream
handful of baked tortilla chips with spinach dip
raw carrots/celery
soft pretzel w/mustard

Afternoon snack to keep the Beast at bay:
peach

Dinner: (Was NOT all that hungry after such a huge lunch)
cottage cheese
zucchini soup

Snacks throughout the day:

Drinks:
coffee w/flavored creamer
diet soda
water

Calories:
about 1700, surprisingly. I thought it would be much higher with such a heavy lunch. But although I ate things I usually don't, I didn't eat much of them.

Exercise:
walking, stairs

Default State Fair Day

Went to the state fair today and stayed OP. Counted all of the walking I did as exercise and drank my water too.

Not going to jump on you this time, Alpha Laura, seeing as you gave me the heads up about not posting as often. I AM glad to see you're keeping track though, and doing quite well. Speaking of doing well, great job on visiting the state fair and staying on plan, activeadventurer!

As for me, I've been in a state of denial lately, thinking at first I was feeling lousy because of paint fumes and then figuring I had a "cold" when it didn't improve. Turns out I have strep throat. If it wasn't for the "take with food" warning on the antibiotics, I'd be perfectly happy not to eat at all (funny how I never have that feeling when I'm healthy!) I'm going to have to put in a lot of overtime to catch up at work, sigh...

Thursday
Large mug of tea
Small bowl of raisin bran with 1% milk
Raspberry flavoured water
Little bowl of mashed potato
Lots of spring water
Small bowl of light ice cream
4 Kashi honey & sesame crackers
Couple more cups of tea

Exercise: You kidding? I barely left the couch.

Oh Jill - I'm so sorry you are sick! Strep is the WORST! I used to get it all the time as a kid - it just hurts to ... LIVE! (((HUGS)))) I hope you are feeling better soon!

My eats - Thursday:

Lunch: Taco Bell - CrunchWrap Supreme & 22 oz cola
Dinner: Turkey Sandwich (whole wheat, light mayo, turkey, provolone, swiss), unsweetened applesauce, leftover raviolis
Snacks: 1 very teeny cupcake , carrots
Drinks: (above cola), water

Calories: 1854 (whoops, a bit above...)
