Thumbs up I Shook My Groove Thing! 8/22 - 8/28

Here's where you can post your exercise for accountability, positive feedback, or just to sing it proud!

Ok, I'll start:

So far today I did HIIT (high intensity interval training) for 30 minutes. I should have more to report later.

How about you guys??

I did 1 mile WATP this morning. I'm going to try for 1.5 miles tomorrow.

Had my first official TKD class tonite since June!
Here's a break down of our 60 minute class:
10 minute run (about .6 of a mile)
10 minute circuit of "Across the Floor" push ups, tricep dips, kicking and "Burners"
10 minutes stretching
30 minutes learning new kicks

Yay! I'm so happy!

I barely made it through the 1.5 miles. I almost gave up at 1 and decided to go ahead and just go as long as I could.

Laura--that workout sounds good. I wish I could take a class around here.

I felt a twist in my ankle today durning my workout but kept going since it didn't hurt. I'm hoping it's ok. (I tried one of the hop moves) I'll take it easy this week.

Dawnyal, I'm really proud of you for forging ahead!

Mez, be careful there, girl! You don't want to get benched by an injury. I hope you're ok -- maybe skip the hoppy moves tomorrow?

Laura, you TKD badass -- I'm excited FOR you that the classes are back up and running! I think it's just so cool that you've found this thing that you love so much and that's so incredibly good for you! What a gift.

YP1, good running! (And I trust that meal has been suitably cancelled out, you responsible girl. ) Where do you run? In a park, in streets, gym or home treadmill?

TakinBabySteps, you are just so consistent in getting in some activity every day! That's great, and you've got to FEEL great, too. You go, girl.

As for me, today I did 45 minutes of fast biking, and a full body weights workout.

Great job, everybody!

I mainly run on the treadmill at the gym because it's near work and easier to fit into the day (and they have a scale so I need an excuse to go in...) but I much prefer running round the local park to be honest, which ends up being my weekend "treat".

I was so thrilled with my weigh in numbers this morning I walked 2.75 miles first thing. Well second thing after getting on the scales. I used this web site to calculate my walking distance.

8/23 All I did was my Core Exercise
8/24 TKD tonite. OK, so technically it is a Sumo wrestler, but it's the only martial art related smilie. LOL
Also, I'm planning to run after DH is back from golf as I didn't run yesterday.
