Default I'm new too

I have also been lurking for a few days - but you guys seem really great and supportive and I wanted to join in with your chats. I don't really have an interesting story. I have never been a small girl, and I gained a bunch of weight a couple of years ago during some stressful times and have not been able to get rid of it. I have tried a couple of diets and haven't really lost that much weight. This time I joined Curves, starting counting calories and am prepared to eat and exercise this way for the rest of my life, not just be on a 'diet'. I have lost about 30 pounds in the last 3 months and have plenty more to go. But hopefully I will be able to continue with this. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone, I hope that it is ok for me to join your group.

Hi Sarah, welcome!

Great on the 30 lbs loss! I decided too this wasn't a diet but a way of life. It took only 100 cals extra a day for 10 years to get here. I figure it can't be that hard to eat 100 less except for the counting part lol. I'm pg so trying to maintain while eating healthy, drinking water and exercising.

welcome to the 100lb club, hope you can stick around! I must say I am impressed that you have lost 30lb in 3 months - I've only managed to lose 16lb in 3 months - what's your secret?

Hi sssst25, congratulations on a fabulous job so far. Sounds like you and I are pretty similar in our weight loss journeys. I've finally started exercising regularly, and eating sensibly and prepared to do this for the rest of my life. Glad you could join us, these friendly people have saved my sanity on numerous occasions!!!

Hi, Sarah,

Sounds like you're doing great! I've heard lots of good things about Curves. I just joined the Y, first time I've ever been in a gym, ha. I've always been big, at least since I was a young girl. I think it's true for me too that I had to embrace this as lifestyle change and not a diet, I think I'd said that before, but never really believed it.
