    Way to go Old Navy!!!!!
  • I discovered that just before Christmas...and I love it. I have to order online cuz the closest store that has the Plus sizes is like 2 hours from me but its still great.
  • Even tho we have Old Navy in Ontario, the website ONLY ships to the US! What a Bummer!!!!!
  • Yeah unfortunately, they don't have Plus Sizes in the Canadian stores yet though

I noticed this over the summer and thought the Canada stores would for sure have these sizes by now but nada...
  • Ughh...that is not fair
  • I noticed that a while back, but there aren't any stores in my local area that carry the sizes. I did go to old navy last week though to buy some exercise clothes. I bought a couple tank tops and a pair of xxl yoga pants.
  • I can't wait til Old Navy starts carrying the sizes in Canada ... it would be a nice addition to the limited stores we have now to shop at .... Lane Bryant now ships to canada .. but the prices are CRAZY! Similar to Penningtons, a little more trendy .. but still very pricey!!
  • HOPEFULLY coming soon to a store near me!
I wish they would even carry these sizes ALL throughout the US--the closest store to me that actually carries plus sizes is like 2 hours away. I hate that only some carry them and some don't. I am so afraid to order online without trying stuff on first. Last time I did that, I got pants from Avenue.com that were on sale. I normally wear a 22, so that's what I ordered, but apparently I'm somewhat disproportionate, as they fit fine around my waist but were baggy on my butt and thighs (I have a problem with pants being baggy on my butt a lot, considering I don't seem to have one). Also, I normally can't wear shirts when they only come in 1x, 2x, 3x--the 3x is always even too small I need shirts in actual sizes like 24 and 26. So, if Old Navy would bring the plus sizes a little closer to me, I'd be all over it, but until then...
  • I'm telling yah, MXM is trendy!! I actually prefer MXM to Old NAvy, everything I get from there shrinks in the WORST way, ugh, I hate that. My all time favorite store is GAP, even though it's the same company as Old Navy I find their clothes fit my body really good. I was trying on the Old Navy Plus size clothes, their 1X tops were too big, and their "regular" shirts were a little too short. Wouldn't it be nice to get all your clothes custom made for your body?

  • What the heck is MXM? Is this going to be another Canadian thing?!?!?
  • What is the quality of Old Navy stuff? I have recently looked at the Fashion Bug for trendy tops...and they are all so poor quality! Each time I go into their store, I vow it will be the last time. I would rather pay a bit more for better quality fabric and structure. Is Old Navy cheap quality in anyone's experience?
  • From somebody who once swore they would never be caught dead in uber trendy Old Navy clothes...I have to say that I haven't had a problem with the clothes...I've worn the men's shirts and sweaters for a couple of years and they hold up really well with me. I just got some women's shirts and jeans after they added the plus size, and they seem to be really good quality. My only complaint is that the shirts tend to be a little short.
  • I think MXM is okay also ... it is just nice to have a change of pace ... old navy is somewhat cheaper than the MXM brand that Addition Elle and Pennington's carries. But it'll do ... a new Old Navy store is opening only 3 hours away .. maybe by then they'll have some clothes for me!

Until then .... I shop where I shop!
  • Quote: My only complaint is that the shirts tend to be a little short.

I usually have trouble with the length of shirts. I actually find the low rise jeans work great for my hips (big ***/small waist), so I like shirts to hit me closer to my hips than waist. Thanks for the heads up, Jen.
  • I have found that the quality of Old Navy isn't that good but it is expensive either. Since a lot of us have to buy transitional sizes, I have tried to shop bargains and tried to maintain quality of clothes but I'll admit some stuff I have bought isn't the best. I have a reason to lose some weight though because I bought some size 18/20 button up shirts from Lane Bryant. Well after I wore them, I washed them and put them in the dryer. Now I have a few shrunken 18/20 shirts that are more like 14/16 now. Of course when I put them on, I thought I may get arrested from popping out so I decided I need to lose some weight before I wear them again.
