My bf says the exercise is more important than our diet (we've gotten much healthier in our eating). I know the exercise is important, but I want to focus on what we're eating too. It gets to be a little of a struggle because 1) he doesn't need to lose weight, and 2) he does a lot of the grocery shopping and cooking. He tells me "don't go crazy" and when the weight loss slows down he says to exercise more.
I always considered weight loss a triad and if one thing is off, then so will the results. You have to have exercise that is someone what streneous (for your activity level), proper nutrition (how you can define this can differ slightly) and the right mental state.
You can't out-exercise poor eating habits.
