Default Weekly weigh in .... Jan 3 - 9

Happy New Year everyone! Don't you love a fresh start?! Everyone gets a clean slate. What's your goal for the year? goal? 20 lbs? 50lbs? more?
For 2005 I'd like to lose 30 lbs from where ever I top off at from this pregnancy.

In the past week my digital scale's battery is reading low. It lasted about 3 years. Has anyone ever replaced the batteries? or should I just get a new scale? I have a 2 week dr check up tomorrow so I will post my weigh in tomorrow. I don't know how much I've gained but I know I've received tons of comments lately stating how much I've grown. I'm so close to the end that I doubt that I can hit that 20 lb pregnancy gain (which was my dream goal )

I'll report tomorrow.

So report in everyone - if you are a newbie - report your starting weight here. Let's have a great 2005!!!!

Dana

Congrats on the coming babe I never gained weight during my pregnancies. I was never sick.... Just had more of what I needed when I got pg, so I didn't need all the extra pounds. My first child was 7# 3oz, but the second & third were 9# 3oz. (born at 38 weeks), and 9# 2oz. So immediately after having them I was down about 20 pounds or so from my start weight!!! Of course, I couldn't keep the weight off Pregnancy was such a good thing for my body!

My goals for 2005.... To exercise more, to eat less... Would love to surprise my husband when he comes back from Iraq... I'd like to take care of myself more...

Trying to start the New Year off right ~ posting and being accountable. I wasn't as horrible as I worried I'd be over the holidays, but not as good as I needed to be either ~ so, the scales crept up some more. I've been good so far today ~ one moment at a time. Starting 2005 at 230. Grrrrrr ~ oh well.

Greetings, all! I decided not to weigh myself until the end of the Valentine's Day challenge, but I thought I'd pop in here and say "hi!" and share my support.

Dana, I was about where you are in my pregnancy last year and was so happy once Christmas was over because it meant my ds was almost here! Has the nesting instinct set in for you yet? It didn't for me until the morning I went into labor, and then it was too late. I hope these last weeks go smoothly for you!

I'm down 1.5lbs, to 295.5 (below my pre-holiday weight of 296 ). For 2005, I think my goal is just going to be to stay on track. Good luck to everyone, this week, and this year.

Good job on the 1.5 loss Cassondra. I'm looking to get to goal this year. That would be a 98 lb loss from last weeks weigh in. I don't weigh until Friday so I'll be back then.

Good job on doing so well during your pregnancie Dana. I'm sure you will drop that 30 in no time after the baby is born.

I stepped on the scales this morning and I wasn't up as much as I expected I would be with all the pigging out I've done these last couple of weeks. I'm starting the new year out at 263. My main goal this year is to keep going. I will set new little goals each month or so to work toward but I'm not going to obsess about numbers this year.

I'm at 228.8 this morning. I've been up and down from about 226-229 over the past month, can't seem to get below 226 but I know it is because my diet has been terrible. It is only because I've been exercising regularly that I've maintained or not gained more than 1-2 lbs. However this isn't going to get me to my goal so I've really started watching my diet and trying to follow the dr. phil plan.

Hi everone.

I was involved on this board last year until I couldn't access the site anymore from work and didn't have a computer at home (which I now do). I'm glad to be back. My story is posted at the end of last weeks update thread if anyone is interested.

I gained 23 lbs during the holidays, I feat not easily managed (lol) but I'm back on track as of yesterday. I had lost 96 lbs before the holidays but with my gain I hvae another 77 to lose to my original goal and more to my ultimate goal.

Thanks for being here for support everyone. I have a feeling I'm going to need it!

I weighed in at 220. 13 lbs more than I was October 22. So sad, but oh well... at least I am back on track now. I just keep thinking about what the scale would have been if I would have stayed on plan since then, it is a good motivator not to quit again though!

I weighed in today here at work just to check my progress. My official weigh in is at the doctors office on Fridays. Last Tuesday after returning to work from Christmas I weighed here at work just to check where I was. I planed on skipping the doctors office last week so I just wanted to check at work. Anyway I weighed in at 347 and subtracted 4 lbs because I was weighing at night after eating breakfast and lunch plus I was wearing heavier work clothes.

This week is the same conditions so I will subtract 4 lbs. The good news is no matter how I subtract for clothes and such I still lost 10 lbs so far. I weighed in at 337 lbs. So if I subtract the 4 lbs that would put me at 333 lbs. That is one pound lower than before the holiday gain. Now I will not take that as being official but it is a good sign that I will have lost all my holiday weight by this Friday and maybe a little to boot.

I am very happy. 10 lbs is just fantastic. Just goes to show how much water weight you can put on when not eating right and drinking the amount of water we should.

Default Deep breath

Thanks for the reminder about water howie... I'm feeling a bit low today and I just realised I've only had one glass
My weigh in today 5th Jan '05 is 245 pounds. This year I would like to lose 78 pounds taking me down to 167. In the month of January I would like to lose 10 pounds.

First Major goal: 220 pounds by 5th April.

Everyone seems to be motivated to lose all their excess baggage this year so good luck all and I hope to speak to you soon!!

Jen, keep your eyes on the prize...You can do it
