Default Gearing up for my new year's resolution

..well, really, more of a new life's resoloution

I'm new to 3fatchicks and new to this forum. I'm 33, a homeschooling mom of two kids (dd6, ds4) and I have 105 pounds to lose. I am pretty much at my heaviest at 255 pounds on a 5' 6" frame, though I may have hit 260 when I was last pregnant.

I have lost signifigantly through lowcarbing before, and I plan on doing so again. This time it's staying off. I'm tired of my weight being the deciding factor in my life. Wanna go swimming? Too fat. Wanna go hiking? Too fat. Wanna play tag? Too fat. Wanna buy some decent clothes? You guessed it Well, I'm done with this.

So here I am, mentally prepping for the weight loss battle to come ready to lay a foundation for a healthier lifestyle for me, my hubby, and my kids. My start date is January first, guess I gotta start planning my menus

I'm looking forwards to posting with you all!

Welcome Saffronne and Sha_na_na,

You have come to a great place ~ wonderful people ~ so encouraging and understanding. You can do it!!
One day at a time ~ never giving up!!

Welcome Saffronne and Sha Na Na!! Saffronne you stated exactly what many of us are feeling now or have felt in the past. Amanda said it well, Take Control!! I love the positive attitudes that are popping out all over the place on this board!! It is very motivating.

If you learn from your suffering, and really come to understand the lesson you were taught, you might be able to help someone else who's now in the phase you may have just completed. Maybe that's what it's all about after all...

Welcome to you both. I am gearing up for another great year of weight loss also. I lost around 80 lbs this past year and plan on doing the same or more this year. Glad to have you here. You have come to the right place. Together we can all do it. This group lost over a Ton of fat last year and I think we are even going to do better this year.
Goal of 245 Made 12/21/05 Half the man.
New Goal to regain the above goal.
