Nasal spray to control your weight? (article)
 

My H had to go to the doctor this week.. he was have chest pains. He has put on some weight ..He had lost a lot, over a 100 lbs. when he was first dx with diabetes about 3 years, but now the weight is creeping back on for the last 2 years. Their has been some discussion of WLS for him (and me) but our insurance WILL NOT cover it... so we haven't really pursued it yet.

Anyway, the Doc said that Merck had a nasal spray in human trails that mimics the hormone that tells the body it is full..

My first thought was "sign me up" but then I had to stop myself. It could just be another fen-phen.. I guess we'll see.

I have heard of some talk about it but it will still be a while before it get approved. It would be wonderful if it works but then there will still be the problem of emotional eating that has nothing to do with feeling full. It would be wonderful if it stopped that too and didn't have any side effects that are dangerous!
