I'm 5'10. The chart I looked at suggests a maximum weight of 173. I'm going for 175 cause, really...who wants to be a stick??

I'm 5'7 and I'd like to be 150'ish. I think. I've only been there on the way up and that was as a teenager. My biggest mental goal right now is to get to 199!

Good topic! I'm 5'5". The WW suggested goal for this height (I am under 45) is something - 144. (I laughed at the "something" so I don't know how low that was!) I was 145 for about 5 minutes in the mid-90s and I couldn't maintain it. I think 150 would be a lovely size for me, but at this point, you know, anywhere under the official OBESE category sounds pretty good.

I am 5'7", and I am shooting for 130. I think I have a small frame. But I think anywhere between 130 and 150 would be great. I'll have to see when I get there!

If I were 6' 1" I would be in the "normal" category for BMI now. But, I'm not that tall, and at medium-framed 5' 4" I'll reach that category at 145 pounds.
I chose my target largely because I want to know how it will be to weigh less than my hubby (and OCD dictates I shoot for a number that is a multiple of 13. ). It's still at the high end of the "normal" weight range for my height, and when I get there I'll re-evaluate how I feel, and adjust up or down accordingly.
I really couldn't give a monkey's what all the charts say I should weigh, and I can't remember what I weighed when I felt really great (I'm guessing around the 150 mark ), so I'm just experimenting really. I'll be 40 years old in a couple of months, so I'm allowed an extra few pounds leeway, right?

I'm 5'4" (actually 5'3 and 3/4) and I was able to maintain a healthy 160 from the time I was 18 until I gained all this weight from depro and falling in love
seriously I don't see myself going much lower than 160. I'm healthy, I move good, look good and think I feel healthier

I am 6ft tall, and I have a large bone structure and around 55% of my 348lbs is lean tissue mass
The BMI chart says that I should weigh like 160 -180lbs to not be categorized as overweight.
I have around 193lbs of lean tissue/muscle right now, so I know that weighing 180lbs is not an option.... My goal is 200 lbs for my height and body structure. I don't know if that is too low, and may have to adjust my goal as I lose weight. I know that I was a size 18 at 230lbs (but I didn't have alot of muscle mass either), so I we'll just have to see. I don't know what I will look like, but I bet I'll look damn fine at that weight, even though the BMI chart says I'll still be overweight.

I'm 5'1" with a medium frame and the charts say I should weigh between 100 and 110 lbs. I weighed 112 when I graduated from high school. I would like to lose down to 135 and get off my medications. According to the charts I'm not overweight I'm undertall.

*faints* That can't be right. I'm 5'6 too, well... and a half (I feel like a kid when I say that lol) I swear I was 5'7 once. Dunno what happened. No way I could ever be 120. Or 111! I want some curves too. I'm shooting for 155 to have a normal BMI, and then I'll see from there. A bit lower for sure, I don't want to be too close to the edge of overweight! lol
But first...I'd looking forward to ONEderland. Weee!

My doc must like skinny gals!
Hi! I'm new here, but just had to chime in.
I have struggled with those weight charts forever. My DH and I now must get serious about our weight because we are self-employed and can not get health insurance while we are "obese". The insurance companies are not allowed to give us target weight, but told us to ask our doctor.
My doctor calculated that I should be 128 at 5'8"! Unbelievable!
When I was 16 yo, I hit my lowest ever weight of 175. I wore a size 12 and felt great. I wanted to lose just a bit more to smooth my tummy. I have set my target weight at 150, but I think my BMI will be OK at 160. Hopefully that will make those insurance nuts happy!

Holy CRACK-SMOKING Madness!
I'm 5'8" too, and that is a real low weight for you! Death skinny no, but whoa, 19.5 BMI! Usually the medical people say 20 BMI is a good ending point. If you went to 121, you would actually be defined as Underweight by the CDC. Having your goal be only 7 pounds up from that strikes me as... erm... unrealistic
The Weight Watchers tables suggest a range of 131-164 for 5'8", and the suggested maxs go up with age. These numbers go from 20-25 BMI.
But like others have said, BMI and weight are really not the important goals, body fat is.
But 128?! I will never EVER be that small unless someone liposuctions out every fat cell in my Rubenesque body!

Hmm... I guess so! Usually I'm the biggest one around, with no other women being taller than 5'8" at the most.
I'm 5'10", "large framed" - every chart I ever saw said 135-174 was in range, with 150 being ideal. The smallest I've ever been as a full-grown adult was 173. Maybe I'd like to get to 165 (where my sister is), but I'd be happy to be back to 173.

I was 5'9" my whole adult life but I have lost 1½” over the last 10 years (I’ll be 53 this year). I always looked good at 170lbs and was able to maintain my weight. As soon as I would try to “diet” so as to get under 170lbs., I would start to gain weight - FAST!!!! I have a medium frame.
I would imagine my ideal weight would be somewhere between 165 - 150. Seems to be an impossible goal at this point.
