Scale Advice

  • Before I start, I want to say that I searched and searched for an answer to this question, but searching for the word "scale" on this site gives you more answers than searching for "sex" on Google. Hee.

Anyway, my question. I need a scale! Almost all the scales I can find only (sheesh...only) go up to 330 lbs and I need one that goes up a little more than that. I can't afford a fancy-schmancy doctor's scale, so does anyone know of an ok scale that goes to maybe 350 or so pounds that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (therefore negating the need to purchase the larger capacity scale, as the weight is already gone with the leg)?

I feel so goofy tonight. LOL.

Scale? Can weight more than 330 lbs? Cheap?

    THANKS!
  • Here you go
Try here! Tanita's widely considered to be a quality product. (I have one of their scales -- the bodyfat one -- and my weight is always in synch with the one at the doc's office.) I'd suggest "froogling" it if you think it would work for you, so you can find the current best price available online.

    Good luck!
  • Oooh their 440 lb one looks good, but a little out of my reach.

    Did you see this?

** If you weigh more than 300, here's a simple solution: buy two scales and stand with one foot on each. The sum of the two readings is your precise weight.
How accurate do you think that would be?
  • For a non digital scale, I would recommend a health-o-meter. I have one and it is within 5 lbs of the digital scale that I use at the gym and I've used it when I weighed 360.
  • Thanks nelie! I've heard really good things about health-o-meter but could never find one that worked.

I did find this one in my price range! Whoo! And free shipping. Perfect. Yay!
