So, I went to a Spa-Ball class today and good god, what a workout!!
The class incorporates a 5lb. medicine ball, a step and a big exercise ball..
The class went like this, 30 mins of hardcore cardio on the step.. WITH the 5lb ball having to be tossed around the whole time!!
Then it went to aerobics while still incorporating the 5lb. ball. Finally, we got to bounce around on the big exercise ball and do some ab work on that.
Let me tell you, it was tough! I had to take a few extra water breaks and do a couple less reps than the instructor and the rest of the class were doing, but I've never worked out like that before in my life. I'm soooo sore now!
However, it was really fun and I can't wait until i'm in much better shape to be able to keep up. I think right now, my poor body is in shock.. I can barely move! So, looks like tomorrow I will take a break from the weights and just go for a swim.
Have any of you tried these classes? Just wanted to share my experience and I recommend giving it a shot..
