Food Dreams

Do any of you have food dreams? I did last night and I have a few times in the past. Last night in my dream I went to Wendy’s and ordered six cheeseburgers. I was mad at myself for doing it so I decided to only eat the lettuce tomato and onion off of them. Then they got the best of me and I ate all six. I tell you if I could just do my eating in my dreams I would be all right. It was very realistic. I hope you can't gain weight from your dreams. LOL

This probably came about because I had just enough calories left last night to get a cheeseburger. So I stopped at Wendy’s. I was good and only had one so I guess I had to get the rest in my dream world.

Gawd, with the crazy dreams I have, Howie, I think if I started to dream about eating, I'd dream about morphing into a giant box of All Bran Extra Fiber that smelled like tuna and tasted like blueberries.....and I'd go around briskly weighing everyone around me, and apportioning them into 2 oz. servings after I'd poured massive amounts of water down their throats and lectured them about maintaining a positive outlook! And then I'd eat them slowly and without added salt.

Hey, wait, did I fall asleep at my desk just now? Woopsie! :lol3:

You are to much Sarah. LOL

I am sitting at my desk just laughing about this thread.. It is so funny! SARAH... You crack me up.

I don't have dreams about eating food but I have dreams that I wake up with all my weight back and that losing weight was just a dream!

Do you ever think you taste a particular food in your mouth when it really isn't that food at all? I do that on occasion.. Thats weird isn't it..

Sarah, I am still laughing at you!

WTG Howie on only eating 1 burger but you know that's not a half bad idea about just eating the lettuce tomato and onion off the burger.. For me that kind of stuff is a head game anyway so if I think I am going to a fast food place I feel better, even if I don't get something bad.

howie6267 07-08-2004 02:17 PM

I feel that way to Gretchen so I don't do fast food to often because I don't want that food to be a part of my eating plan. But once in a while I want it really bad then I will get it and just count the calories.

I never dream about gaining weight. I have always been a thin person in my dreams. Even with the dream last night. I knew I was on diet but I was still thin.

I do 1800 calories a day and most of the time if you stick to that the fat grams take care of it's self. As for Joe Gibbs who knows but I'm sure being in football he has seen a lot worse late night snacks. As a matter of fact I think I read where he would have late nights at the stadium and they would raid the vending machines.

Wow, this dream just gives and gives.....not only do I get the pleasure of having amused some of my favorite people here, but I get the added bonus of imagining some of my coworkers in 2 oz. portions!

Jack-150-- WOW!! 170 lbs lost. That's awesome--not to mention inspiring as well. I especially like your quote "Nothing happens until Something happens". Words to live by.

When I am in the throes of my eating disorder, I dream of food constantly.

SuchAPrettyFace 07-08-2004 06:25 PM

My dreams generally involve Johnny Depp & chocolate.

howie6267 07-08-2004 06:33 PM

LOL (Johnny Depp & chocolate)

Amanda Panda 07-08-2004 08:09 PM

Sarah & SAPF  :lol3:  :lol3:

Howie - i dream about chocolate during certain times of the month! I gave up smoking 8 months ago and I've had quite a few dreams where I'm smoking again - I guess it's the same thing. It's a real relief to wake up and realise I am still smoke free.

Love Amanda x
