My incentive/inspiration - what's yours?
 

Yesterday while browsing through a store I came across this dress. I fell in love with it, and although I knew it would be too small, I bought it anyhow. I want to wear this dress to my cousin's wedding in August. The biggest problem is that it is way too small on the top (never had that problem before lol, usually it's my hips/butt). So I took a picture in the dress, and I plan to hang the dress up in my room so i see it every day (I had done this a while back when I lived in my old place). I figure if I can lose 30 more lbs by the end of August, then hopefully I will have lost enough off the top to make it fit half decently. I also have a closet full of clothes that are all 2 sizes too small for me (the dress is a size 15 but I think it's meant to be really loose). This is the dress: click here. I hate how big and out of proportion my arms are, so I hope those get smaller too. Please pardon the scared look on my face.

The dress is beautiful...and so are you! It looks to me like it already fits! I have one similar in color and pattern, and it just makes me feel good to be in that color. GEORGOUS DAAHLING! My inspiration is similar. I have a closet of beautiful clothes in size 14-16 that I want to wear! Plus, My 5 year High School reunion is next summer, and I dont want to still be fat!!!

As for my inspiration (see my sharing some pics of my kiddos post) That's my inspiration for now. I haven't really found any outfits so far that inspire me but when I do I plan on buying it.

LOL Sheila. I'm so embarrassed. I fixed it in photoshop and saved a copy but never reuploaded. Now everytime I try to, it keeps showing the 689 pounder. I'll try again here in a minute. :)

Beautiful!! I agree with the others. . .you wear the dress great right now! I think a lot of my "visual" incentive comes from all of my favorite movies. . .how cute the thin actresses look in their clothes, like Meg Ryan in "You've got Mail", Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman", etc.

I want to look light and cute and peppy in my clothes, with a cute figure :crossed: to match! I don't have to be "perfect" just happy with how I look :goodvibes:

Raelynn - my gurl, you look beautiful! I have a dress in my closet that my little sister gave me for xmas, and I didn't have the heart to return it.. Its a size 14, and right now I'm an 18/20 - My goal is to be sporting this dress in the fall.. But, to do that - I must get back on track. Rae - we've been talking about this for weeks, lets get back on this boat together...

Wow! That is a beautiful dress.....such a wonderful colour! Great idea for the motivation.....just think how good you're gonna feel when you're wearing it at that wedding in August!

Thanks for all of the compliments everyone. The dress is too small, even though the picture hides it (the top is wayyy too tight). It's given me something to work towards though. :)
