Good Wednesday morning to everyone

suzukigirl a big congrats on making it to a new decade! About the length of your workouts, I usually average 30 minutes as well but last week I was able to get in an hour of exercise by breaking it into three different segments (upper body, lower body and abs). Since each part was short in and of itself, I made it through 60 continuous minutes. Continued success this month!

curvynotlumpy sounds like you are having a great, relaxing vacation. I'm goung to see The Beguiled when it's out on dvd. I'm intrigued by the story and I love the actors in it.

LauraRVA42011 I hope things settle down a bit for you. I am amazed at your resolve, you get right back to it.

RunningRedHead I think yard work definitely counts as exercise. I bet your garden looks beautiful. Have you planted vegetables and if so, which kind? Now you can relax some and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

A couple of "off" days for me. I was feeling so tired and grumpy, which is unusual for me (the grumpy part). I hope this beautiful sunny day will get me back on track.

What a difference a day makes. Got back 100% on plan and erased 3.2lbs of the 4lb gain. Also my scale showed a significant body fat loss so my exercise regimen appears to be paying off. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Onward and downward!

Good Morning Everyone

Well I didn't make it to the gym yesterday but I'll head over today after work. I did have a great relaxing day though... I took some time for a me day and I think I deserved every minute of it. I had a massage, mani/pedi and bought myself some cute summer clothes. I spent a little more money then I originally planned and my hope is that by fall the clothes I just bought will be too big (so I didn't go to overboard) but sometimes you just need to put you first. I have already gone down a size in clothing which was nice to see. And not just a I can squeeze myself into these shorts if I don't breath.... I very comfortably can wear a size smaller then I was wearing about a month ago that was an awesome discovery!!!!

Have a great day everyone

Wow, it's so quiet around here!! Hope that means everyone is enjoying the summer and being outside!! For me, I'm back fully on plan and erased the extra-long weekend gain and then some. At my lowest weight in many years now and feel a renewed sense of commitment to my program.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!! Onward and downward!!

A new size lower, that's really exciting. Congratulations.

Well I don't know what is going on with me. I know why I was up yesterday, but I'm totally baffled about today. I know I was under my calories yesterday, so I hope it is just a fluke, and tomorrow I will see a loss. I just need to stay focused and not let it mess with my head. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Happy Friday everyone!

Laura: I love that you use the phrase onward and downward, I find it to be quite motivating. Way to go getting back on track!

Martine: I transplanted a couple bell pepper and tomato plants that I started from seeds a bit ago and I just planted some zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce and herbs. I also finished staining my deck and putting up new lattice work (vinyl for the win!) We’re going to be planting some apple trees and cherry trees soon as well. I’ve had a couple of off days as well. Glad you’re back and at it

Julie: Way to go, you absolutely deserve some quality time for yourself. Those are some great NSVs!

Vlada congrats on onederland!

Ally welcome! We're alive and kicking here!

Suzuki your 'me' day sounds lovely! It's so important to care for yourself and reward yourself for your efforts.

I have been eating all the things. Sure, it's all good healthy food from my cupboards, but I'm still eating too much. I've been blue lately, and I'm compensating with calories. I know why I'm doing it as I'm doing it, but I'm still doing it, ha. I feel like I've gained, which would be well-deserved. Looking somewhere for motivation or just plain discipline. It's hard being perky without cupcakes....

I guess I'll give it the old college try this month. Rennie, you know I don't do well with challenges. But I would like to lose 10 lbs this month and hope to lose 40 by the end of the year. I'm starting out good with weekly weigh-in.

7/1 - 204
7/8 - 202

Hi Rennie! Nice to see you again. RunningRedHead, you sure have been busy in the garden. Good morning to everyone else. I hope you have a great day. I'm creeping back down, but I've been logging my food and staying under my calories. Maybe it's sodium. I usually don't add any extra salt to my food, but I had grilled salmon and corn and black bean salsa at work Thursday, and then some more frozen corn and black bean vegetables Thursday night and Friday along with some seeds of change brown rice and quinoa. Maybe there is extra sodium in them. I know, seems like carb overload, but that's all we had in the house. I kept both to a 1/2 cup each each night. I usually keep a package of Costco organic frozen broccoli in the freezer, but I' out. Maybe I can pick up some today. I also had a hand full of hot tamales, but I counted them too. 170 calories for 20 pieces. I hope to be steadily in the 260 next week. Hubby is one the way home from a trip, and I know he will want to go to the local pizza place tonight. I have a plan. I will get the large garden salad, and get grilled chicken on it. I know the bartender will see me and make a gin and tonic as soon as she does. I'll try to limit myself to just one. If I can catch her before she makes it, I'll have a glass of wine instead. Tonic has unneeded calories. LOL. It will be my date night splurge. As long as I plan for it, it should be fine. Oh, and we can walk there too.

and a big to all!

Just wanted to drop by and wish everyone a good weekend. Hope your Saturday has been a good one. I've been on vacation since last Friday so I've barely touched my computer. That's a deliberate choice since I spend so much time in front of one on a daily basis. My goal is to catch up on personals tomorrow.

RunningRedHead that garden is full of goodness. I hope you're getting nice weather to enjoy your refinished deck.

curvynotlumpy way to go on staying off the computer during your vacation. I'm looking forward to mine starting on Friday 5pm.

imthegoddess how was date night? Do not stress out over small bumps on the scale. You are planning your calories and making it work. Wishing you success on seeing the 260s this week!

wannabehealthy 2 pounds down, 1/5th of your goal achieved already, keep it going!

Rennie

LauraRVA42011 that's wonderful that you are now at the lowest weight you've been in a long time. It must me such a great motivator.

gulfmagnolia very sorry to hear you've been feeling blue. That does mess with my eating patterns as well. It's so easy to say "stop eating" but not always so easy to do. Hang in there, you can get through this phase and be back on track

So the beginning of last week where I was tired and grumpy totally threw me off. Then I learned that the husband of a co-worker was put under coma-induced care to help him fight off pneumonia and it was touch-and-go. I was sad and got into a huge argument with my husband and just ate whatever. I am just now getting over this mess of a week. Started week 2 off right with a 55-minute workout. I find it easy to start, hard to stick with. The one positive thing during this past week was that my physiotherapist noticed the muscles around my tendon getting looser, which will help in the long run. Hope everyone is enjoying a great weekend!

Gulfmagnolia - " It's hard being perky without cupcakes...." - then have a cupcake! It's my experience that going out and finding the very best cupcake you can get will be immensly satisfying. You won't need a second one. Just enjoy deciding which one is *the* one and enjoy every second of that cupcake. If you don't indulge that craving you'll eat 6000 other things which don't satisfy in the least...

Martine thank you for being so sweet

Vlada Thanks for that, I hear you loud & clear. Now if only I could apply that wisdom to my dating life...

Got a little gain, which is surprising. Expected a huge gain! So I'm snapping out of it - allowing myself to be blue for however long, but the munchies and wallowing gotta go. Feelings happen, but I gotta get sh*t done
