This wasn't a good week... I think I need to try something new/different or reevaluate. This coming week it'll be hard though, I'll have visitors. Hopefully I'll at least manage to maintain. I am a bit terrified to be honest... :x

OH YEAH! Good ol' Atkins induction! Whooohooo!

Looks like everyone is trending downward! Good for us!

DayDreamer: You lost, so that is a GOOD week. Hang in there while you have company, maybe eat what everyone is having, but smaller portions? Enjoy life while making smart choices and you will be fine!

GulfMagnolia: Thanks for the kind words about my quotes.

Have a great week everyone!

I see most of us lost weight this week but everyone is making progress.
I love being part of a group of losers!
I reached my goal this week. The hard part of this challenge begins this week as I have a family wedding/vacation. That is the reason I kept my goal within reach because I know the scale will be up next week. I will get back down to 248 by the end of this challenge.
Day Dreamer how can this be a bad week? You lost 1.6 pounds!
Have a good week everyone!

Daydreamer what part of your plan do you feel needs re-evaluating? Good job with your 1.6 lb. loss!! I hope you have a good week with your visitors and you can maintain!

Lurch WOW, that is awesome!! How do you like it so far? Can you eat vegetables that have carbs?

Ubee congrats on making goal I hope that you have an awesome vacation!!

LurchMomma: As it is, I don't really eat big portions. I get full pretty fast. I usually can eat half a normal sized plate at a restaurant and sometimes only 1/3. The problem comes, when I eat all day. My biggest issue are snacks! And to be honest, I rather not have ANY fast food at all. Even small portions of that will probably throw me off. You are almost at your goal weight!! That's great!

Ubee: Well you see, I am trying to lose 2 lbs a week. 1.6 < 2.0 hence I didn't reach my weekly goal. Which in the long term translates into not reaching my October goal, which would make me very sad. And no, 0.4 lbs don't matter that much of a difference, I know... but if I do this every week then I'll be pretty far off.

So, before it's too late... I'll try to reevaluate and see if there is anything I have been neglecting. I don't want to have any regrets, if I don't reach my goal and I did my very best, oh well... it will still be better than not having lost anything. BUT, if there is something that can be done, if by any chance I can do something about it. Then, I'm going to try. So yes, it was a bad week. I didn't reach my goal. I am not heartbroken, but a bit disappointed.

kfunk6113: I know that in the past, I have ended up stalling because of the quality of calories I was eating. Say when I start I eat lots of fruits, cheese and veggies. Some months in, I find myself hardly eating any fruits, and having replaced them with cookies. Still eating the same amount of calories. It happens gradually too, so sometimes I don't notice per se. I might be eating too many salty things, or sweets... So, I should be more careful with that.

Hi Everyone!
Had a 4 pound bump up from my vacation/family wedding.
Had totally expected it so not bummed about it at all. Two weeks to go and I plan on reaching my goal.
Keep up the great work everyone!

Kfunk: Thanks! I am eating some very low carb veggies. When I'm through induction, I will slowly add more healthy, higher carb foods.

GulfMagnolia: Great loss! You are down almost 15 pounds! Mercy!

Ubee: Way to allow your self room for LIFE in this journey! I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation!

gulfmagnolia: You are doing amazing progress!!!

LurchMomma: It was a very stressful week, I was so good the first few days but my weight kept going up which was very demotivating, if you add some stress to that... didn't take long for me to give in. I overthink things... and stress over silly things I suppose. Other than that it was fun. Back to reality now... You are doing great though!! Almost 10 lbs now!!

Welp... This past week was disastrous. Had family visiting and even though I stayed on track for the first 4-5 days or so I wasn't dropping a single tenth of a pound, but putting weight on.... So I ended up cheating on Saturday, Sunday and Monday... :x Oh well, back on track this week. Today I am back to my lowest last week so I guess that's a good thing.

Hi Ladies!! I hope that everyone is doing well!!! I completely forgot to check in last week, and I can't believe how fast time is going, only 1 week left!!

Daydreamer that makes total sense, I guess I didn't really think of the quality of calories in that sense. I just always thought the lower quality calories don't stick with you so you are hungrier sooner than you would be if you ate well. You have done AMAZING during the challenge!! I am impressed that you barely bumped up at all during the past week, you are so close to goal!!

Gulf holy cow, great loss after your post vacation bump up!!! You crushed your goal and a full 2 weeks early

Ubee I hope that you had a nice vacation!! 2 weeks is plenty of time to get back down to your goal!!

Lurch You are doing amazing!! SOOOO close to your goal I love hearing about other people's plans, you are doing so well!!

I hope that everyone else is doing well too!!

I made a promise to myself that I would finish out this month strong. I had been getting a bit too comfortable on the weekends. It is Sunday morning and I have done AWESOME so far this weekend. I have been getting all of my water in, which is really hard for me when I am not in the office, and I have not had any off plan snacks or meals. This is huge for my confidence!!
I am 2 lbs shy of making goal and have a little over a week to get there. It is my TOM as we speak, so hopefully I will have a good week as it winds down.

kfunk6113: You are too nice! I think partially my small bump is due to the fact that I only cheated 3 of 7 days and to be honest, the 3rd day (Monday) I was feeling sick to my stomach so I skipped lunch. So that probably made up for some of the dinner calories. I think all the 'naughty' eating made me nauseous, though I seemed to be fine by dinner time. Thanks for all the encouragement though! To be blatantly honest, I am so jelly of you... Onederland and all :P!! I am sure you'll make it to your goal just fine!

---

I am glad to be back on track! I am also thankful for the extra lbs this week. It didn't completely make up for last week's lack of loss but, I think I did pretty damn well! Naively enough, I am still hoping for a 0.5 lb drop tomorrow but it'll probably be more like 0.2 lbs. I made it to my goal this week! And I'll be trying to see about shedding another 2.6 lbs by the 4th. It's a bit of a stretch but I'm still hoping for it. If I don't make it I'll still be happy I reached my first goal!

I am a bit terrified to be honest, since most of the time I have attempted to lose weight I tend to quit just as I get to Onederland. I should try to stay motivated now more than ever. Next challenge is up to Labor day weekend, and I am terrified. A friend I haven't seen in a while is coming to visit and there is also this event I'll be attending... Anyway, one week at the time.

Hope everyone is doing great!

daydreamer CONGRATS on making your goal over 1 week early

You will be in onederland SO soon, you will probably end up surpassing me!! I end up feeling sick when I eat off plan, it is reminiscent of a hangover. Don't be afraid of quitting, this time is different and you will prove it! We can help each other through the summer. I cant remember what my Labor Day challenge goal is, but I have an event that I really want to look good for. I just have to keep that in mind every time there is a BBQ, party, or special event this summer!

I am so excited! I lost all my family wedding/vacation weight plus an extra pound!!!

kfunk I am so happy that there is no longer a 2 for your first number. It must be thrilling to see on the scale.

Gulf & Daydreamer you just whizzed right past your goals. That is amazing! Way to go!

Lurchmomma you were so close last week. I will check in later to cheer you on.
