opheliaphoenix: Thank you! ^_^ Sorry about the loss, I am sure it'll be gone before you know it. Don't let it get to you too much.

Gemini6: You are so sweet! And absolutely right. We'll make it through... it's just some days might prove harder than others. Thank you for all your encouraging words. I am not sure how I'll deal with the smells. For me, I a VERY picky eater so as is, there are A LOT of food I'll never crave... no matter how good they smell. I will be eating though, which I am sure will make it more bearable. The biggest thing for me is that I am a crave -er (I think I made up a word), hopefully cheese and pepperoni pizza won't prove a huge challenge. Congrats!!! A New decade yay!! You are doing GREAT!!!!

---

I feel a lot better today, you are all so nice! Thank you for all your support! Had a HUGE dinner last night, I was so full! We went to a Mall a bit far from home, because we had to take care of something before April was over. It got late pretty fast and we were starving so, ended up eating at Olive Garden. We shared Spicy Shrimp Scampi Fritta (560 cals), I prob ate like half of it. Then ate 3/4 of a bread stick (140 cals), maybe 1/4 - 1/3 of Chicken & Shrimp Carbonara (1590 cals!!!) and one of those chocolate mints (25 cals). The whole dinner ended up being like 888 cals for me. We did bring dessert home, but we were so full it's still there (minus 3 bites cause we both tried it ).

Overall, I was only 165 cals over (+ 2 bites of dessert?). I am glad I didn't put any lbs back though. I read this post somewhere in this forum about how you cheat once and not only do you put on xx amount back but also it takes WEEKS to lose again... And it's so frustrating, because you could have been making progress instead of re-losing what you already had lost. I was reminding myself that last night.

04/22: 226.0 [-1.1]
04/23: 224.6 [-1.4]
04/24: 224.4 [-0.2]
04/25: 223.1 [-1.3]
04/26: 223.8 [+0.7]
04/27: 222.4 [-1.4]
04/28: 222.2 [-0.2]

And just like that, it's Friday already!!! I swear time is flying by... I hope you all have a great weekend, and manage to stay in track!

Popping in really quick to say hi to everyone at the same time -- will do personals tomorrow!!

Weigh-in was up a whole other pound to 231.6 today. I know what I did, though...I have been craving pickles for the better part of two weeks now, and gave in on it yesterday. Did fine on the calories, but my sodium was off the charts for the day. Just 3 little spears -- not even a whole pickle, just spears, so 3/4 of a pickle! -- was almost a thousand mgs of sodium alone. Not including my actual meals. Sooo, yeah. I already know I am super sensitive to bloating from sodium intake, so I am at fault. So, I ended up blowing it right before the final weigh-in for the week with a bloat gain, so it makes it seem like I only lost 1.2 lbs for this week. Boo. So, I'll be avoiding the pickles today and focusing on the water to see if I can help flush that out over the next two days before the end-of-the-month weigh-in.

Week Four
22: 232.8
23: 232.0
24: 231.0
25: 230.6
26: 229.8
27: 230.6
28: 231.6
----------------------------
End of Week Three: 232.8
Total Loss for Week Four: 1.2 lbs.

Good Friday evening everyone! I hope everyone is well. I applaud all of you for all the successes I'm reading about.

So I haven't gone back on plan yet. I'm really struggling with the fact that I can't really exercise with my sore tendon. I can barely walk Loki for very long. I thought it was getting better but I have to accept that it's not. I saw a doctor today who diagnosed me with tendinitis and I have a prescription for anti-inflammatory medicine and a referral for physio. Everything is closed on the weekend, so I'll make a call on Monday and hope they can see me sometime next week. I don't mean to be a downer, I'm just not in a good place right now.

Sending everyone positive thoughts for the new month ahead.

and good evening.

It's been a tough, emotional week so I'll save personals for tomorrow. Our long anticipated and awaited for student veteran center will open on Monday. Thursday and Friday we did the move and rearranged our current transfer center in a different way to be less business like and more student friendly. It will be weird not having the vets over here but if anyone deserves a designated space of their own on this campus it is them!

This has been a four year process from beginning to end and I'm exhausted.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening and start to their weekend.

As the month winds down it looks like some of us will be looking forward to the fresh start May will offer.

Martine sorry that you're healing is not progressing as well as you'd like. Concentrate on getting better and try to.make good choices while you're sidelined from exercising. I hope things improve quickly for you.

OpheliaPhoenix sodium is the worst! I know you will reverse the gain. I just wish water retention went away as quickly as it appears.

Curvy congratulations on seeing the end of such a long effort that has been a part of your reality for such a long time. Take the time to reset and rest.

I'm glad April is coming to a close. While the last week showed progress, the other three were the most mentally challenging in my journey so far. Here's to a new month!

Here's the May thread

sorry I didn't stick around like I said I would. Here lately things just seem totally out of control no matter which way I turn. I try to stay positive but it's hard to do when there's constant negativity all around you. Hope to join you all again some time in May

Another personal-skipping day...sorry everyone! I am beyond tired today and have been fighting falling asleep since about 6pm. Feeling under the weather and only got about 4.5-5 hours sleep last night -- hoping to get a good night's rest tonight to perk back up tomorrow.

As for the update....weigh-in was down from that pound it was up yesterday back to 230.6 today. We went out to eat this afternoon, and I'm - as I stated above - not feeling very good, so I won't be going for my walk tonight. Hopefully I won't just bloat back up tomorrow from that combo. Fingers crossed to end April on a decent note, lol.

Good morning

Well, looks like I fibbed, didn't I with the personals comment. My intentions were good and to catch up yesterday, then I got to work on my Summary of Accomplishments for this year and spent most of the day writing that. You know what they say about good intentions..."road to he** paved with." I have mixed feelings about the whole process and why they're needed, but it does provide an opportunity for me to see exactly what I have done in the course of a year. I go from one task to the next, one project to the next that I never take time to really think about what I've accomplished.

love2b150: Rennie, it's so great to see you check in! It is wearing to work around constant chaos and negativity. I've been there and, yes, admittedly have at times contributed negativity in some instances in my own life. It's difficult to resist on a daily basis, but resist you must! You don't want to get pulled down that road. It's not good for you mentally or physically.

Gemini6 and opheliaphoenix: Sounds like you both might be fighting a bug of some kind. Where I work we've had various folks out ill over the last month. Try to get some , medicate if necessary but most of all be good to yourself.

LauraRVA42011: on such a successful April! You are knocking it out of the park, girl! Thank you for your kind words about the opening of our Center. The major work is done and I am forever grateful that it is. I know there will be a learning curve for all of us now that my staff is in two different locations so there will be adjustments there. We'll work those out. And I agree, bring on May

Martine: I wish you well with your physio appointment. Hopefully that will lead to a concrete plan of healing and recovery. Keep us posted.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday.

Good job this month, everyone! Wishing all the same success in May for those of you who did well, and I wish a better month in May for those of you who struggled! Hugs all around.

curvynotlumpy: I think you're right about the bug going around just about everywhere. Our oldest came out of her room yesterday all sniffly and stuffed up, and I think it's probably about to spread through the rest of the house...boo, lol. Hoping everyone where you work feels better and that you don't catch anything as it makes its rounds!
