Hello everyone!
So inspired to see the wonderful progress by the Saturday weighers yesterday. Wow!
I lost 2.2 lbs this week. Here's what I`m doing differently this time around that I think is helping: I go to the grocery store every two days now, instead of making one big trip per week that stocks up on everything we will need for that week.
Going so often helps me to stay mindful of what I'm trying to accomplish. I only buy enough fruits and vegetables that can be consumed in two days by myself, my husband and our 18-year-old daughter. This eliminates waste, and ensures fresher food, which is pretty important when you have eliminated refined sugar and processed foods as meal options. I thought it would be time-consuming to go food shopping so often, but when you buy only a few items at a time at less-busy times of the day in a store whose layout is so familiar, it`s pretty quick, even in this frigid winter we're experiencing in Quebec right now.
A good week to everyone, and keep making those choices that will make you look good and feel good!
Soooo irritated this morning. I woke up and instantly knew TOM had arrived. Why?! You couldn't wait one more day so I could see a good weigh in going into a weekend when I'm going to be all hormonal?! Blah! I always hold on to a lot of water during this time, I sure can feel it already. Even more irritated because the scale said the exact same number as last week. That especially drives me crazy. I checked 4 times. Same number every single time. I felt like my scale was trolling me this morning.
Ok, rant over. Going to try to keep the hormonal eating at bay this weekend so next weigh in is a really good one. Have a great weekend everyone.

I am so impressed by the losses I saw this week on this thread. As for me, I have racked in a less-than-impressive 1.4 lbs./week for the past two weeks now, which is disappointing, but then I read Phae1963's remark and things went back into perspective. She pointed out that she was moving in the right direction, and that eventually, her losses would add up to where she wanted to be. Finally, it doesn't matter how little we lose a week, as long as we keep steady on that downward trend.
Today I ate ONE grape and realized it tasted sweeter than any grape I had ever eaten. It struck me that I was putting the Sugar Monster to sleep (since I no longer eat artificially-sugared or any processed foods at all) and as a result, sugars occurring naturally in fruits become more intense. So there are all kinds of ways to measure progress. . .
Looked through and seems like the majority are doing well. Way to go everyone! I'm on track to hit my goal or at least get really close. This weekend we are going to Disney for my little ones 2nd birthday. Hopefully I don't do too much damage with more indulgent eating. Hopefully all the walking will counter balance it some. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Congratulations to all for such wonderful losses in January! KayG, you are my inspiration. We started in January at nearly the same weight and your wonderful progress makes me want to keep up! Only nine more days left, everybody. Let's make them count!

While I just missed making my goal, I'm freakin' happy to have 14lbs off. Very exciting to see the scale move--move down I mean! Seen too much of it the other way!
