to the thread Volatis Good job on making sure all of the bad stuff was gone before starting your journey What are you going to do this month to achieve your 175 goal?

OK my update ...

As most of you know I do a type of fasting from something with my church for 35 days. I have once again decided to give up sweets (cookies, cakes, junk), soda, pasta, rice, potatoes. I bought a Nutri Ninja last evening and love the thing. I'm doing smoothies, water and a coffee in the morning since my other present to me was a Keurig Kukkie, you and I have the texture issue well this Ninja makes it smooth my friend I do recommend it. Rissa had a strawberry banana smoothie and I didn't spit out one seed You know that's a point for me. Ok back to what else I'm doing ... I joined a gym not far from my job so when I leave work at a decent time I can get an hour workout in which you all also know may be just my brisk walk on the treadmill. It's been awhile so this may take some time to build up again. Oh I have an appointment with a trainer on Friday to learn how to use some of the other equipment so I can prayerfully get rid of this gut once and for all. My goal is 132 by my 50th birthday in April or as close to it as possible.

todays weigh in 176.2
first mini goal 165 -11.2
second mini goal 152 -13
third mini goal 145 -7
final goal 132 -13

whew is all I can say .... this is gonna take a ton of

DayDreamer26, Kukkie84, Volatis great way to start the new year with those drops! Let's keep it going!

bigjoe I truly believe that half the battle is identifying what is keeping us from losing weight and I think you just hit the nail on the head. Next step is to find how to stay focused during the weekends. You will figure it out, I'm sure of it.

loveofmylife001 I'm an organized machine at work, but for some reason that does not translate to my personal life. I have to stay focused this week, as we're going into our inventory on Saturday and that's always a stressful period.

I'm finally back to my December starting weight. I need to get in a workout today to start the week off right. For some reason I'm finding it difficult to get motivated today.

Love2b150 Thanks!! Right now I am just counting calories. Trying to do between 1400 - 1200. I recently moved cross country to a big city, so I don't have a gym close by anymore. Still trying to figure out the neighborhood and such. We only have 1 car too, which makes it all so much harder. But I want to start walking (not really running but I''l try lol) by next week. Going to see about getting some thermal undergarments or something for running outside with the pup! I saw a biking trail on google maps, so I'll probably head that way soon. Urg! I miss having a gym 2 blocks away though, glad you joined one!

Martine Thanks The thing I love the most about re-starting a diet is the massive drops the first week (at least for me). All the water weight just flies away... and I know it's JUST water weight, but it is still a GREAT motivation!! Glad to see you are making progress yourself.

Hi guys, I'm back. I fell off the wagon and gained 17 of the 30 pounds I lost last year. So, here I am again. I started my plan today.

DayDreamer, that's how I've always loss weight also, counting calories. Even when I follow a so called plan that I pick up and decide to do for however long I still count calories using myfitnesspal. I too love the big drops in the beginning of water weight. As we always say "a drop is a drop or a loss is a loss" because we did it

Hi all, I am kind of restarting again. I had gallbladder surgery last week after being sick for 2 months. I am trying to figure out what I can and cant eat right now and getting my body back on track. I can currently keep down water and boneless skinless chicken breast. UGH, I am so tired of chicken!!

imthegoddess welcome back

Neast think of how great you'll feel once you've fully recovered from your surgery, maybe focusing on that will make you less sick of chicken? And at least you are getting some much needed protein from chicken (trying to help you find the positives in eating chicken )

No workout for me this morning, needed more sleep. I'll try to exercise after work. Still on plan with my eating.

love2b150 - like you I have joined a gym near work. I joined a couple of weeks before Christmas and go normally on the way to work - that way it feels like part of my working week!
Martine - hope you manage to get that workout in. I managed the work out, just need to keep the food on the good side too today - so far so good
Hello Neast - hope you start to feel better soon

1. Didn't weigh
2. 184 (think this may be due to time of the month)
3. 182.5
4. 182.5
5. 181.25

Good Tuesday Afternoon Everyone

Late posting today, I had a busy morning. I hope everyone is doing good on the chilly day

Rennie It's so nice to see you posting and that you have slowed down at work. I love me some birthday cake cookies are my second favorite. I don't blame you for not cutting the cake Oh, the temptations and not the singing group lol. That's awesome that you have joined a gym. I find being around others that are trying to better themselves is really inspiring, that's why I continue to come here daily Also, you know that I'm a huge fan of doing fast. You're going to do great this year. New Year with new beginnings

Martine That's great to be organized at work that's where it's really important. Good luck with you inventory, I can imagine that it would be a stressful time.

imthegoddess, neast, JerseyPAGirl

Kukkie on the loss. Keep it up!

hi to everyone else. I will try to check in later.
