wannabehealthy and Jbl1975 I'm right there with you about the scale going down and up. All we can do is keep at it and look beyond the numbers.

Just did a HIIT workout, felt good. Happy Monday everyone.

Good morning everyone!

Finally broke through my one week plateau. Down a bit to 208.5. Sadly, the cold I had at the end of last week kicked my butt over the weekend and I didn't have the energy to make the cauliflower breadsticks. Still have all of the stuff, so I'm going to attempt it tomorrow. It's a gym night for me today, so it'll be too late to make when I get home. I'll keep you all posted though. Here's the recipe for those of you who are interested:

Hope everyone is doing well!

Good Marvelous Monday Morning Everyone

Hope everyone had a great on plan weekend

I had a great weekend, they just go so fast. I was busy from Friday all the way through Sunday evening lol. But it was good. I got a lot of things accomplished.

Martine on your HIIT workout. Hope you are enjoying your staycation. I'll be on mines the week of Thanksgiving

bigjoe I like your pic! That's awesome about you starting Atkins, I've known some people that had great success on that plan.

Kukkie84 on the drop. Thanks for the recipe, I may try this Wednesday when I'm off for Veterans day!

Waving hi all around! Enjoy your day everyone.

I just overheard a couple of people in the bistro at work. One said to the other: "There are 8 weeks left in this year. At two pounds a week, you could potentially be down 16 pounds by January 1st. Why would you want to wait until the new year to start?"

Talk about perspective!

all!

Last week was very busy and this week is shaping up to be as well. Wednesday is not only Veterans Day and a federal and university holiday, it is also my . As I do every year, I give myself the gift of the day AFTER my birthday off so it will be a very short work week for me.

@bigjoe: Nice to see your updates and great photo, Joe! I think fitting into smaller clothes is great motivation. This weekend I decided to cull through my closet and separate all the clothes that currently fit, from those that used to and want to fit back into. I have A LOT of great clothes to look forward to Talk about shopping your closet

@Kukkie84: and again to your overheard conversation. After reading your words I had to ask myself why I've put off the weight loss but I've done it many, many times Also, it's amazing what cauliflower can be used for as a substitute. Recently I found this Hungry Girl recipe that sounds delicious http://www.hungry-girl.com/recipes/c...wer-fried-rice

@Martine: How's the staycation going? on your HIIT workout

@love2b150 and Kukkie: Nice drops Rennie and bigjoe, you mentioned Atkins and while not a real follower, high-protein, low-carb has always, always meant consistent weight loss. Now, why I'm not consistently doing this is the real question .

@Jb1975: The scale can be a cruel "friend." Also, it is ONE data point. How are you feeling otherwise? How's the exercise? Overall, are you pretty satisfied with your food choices? Don't let the scale define you or your efforts. No doubt in my mind that you'll recover nicely. You got this

early Curvy I can't seem to follow anything for long. I feel off the wagon this afternoon/evening ... will probably show a gain in the a.m. but I'll pull it back in tomorrow. It's almost bedtime so I definitely won't eat anything else this evening

Carol no change for me either. We'll get through this

Wow, I definitely have had more bloating than I anticipated, but i'm not complaining! I can mostly tell in my stomach (as anticipated) I'm now weighing the lowest I've seen in almost a year!!!

Kukkie, while that is a good perspective, I'm lucky if I lose 2 lbs a month, not per week.

I weighed twice again this morning. At 5 AM I weighed 201, at 8 AM I weighed 200. I'm taking the 200. LOL
