Thanks kittens! You're doing great! I am 251.4 this morning. I was honestly shocked when I looked at the scale. I helped a friend move furniture and get ready for a yard sale yesterday and I guess the activity, along with the good food choices I made yesterday, paid off. Now the challenge is the same one I always have; maintain over the weekend.

A small loss today but even small losses get me closer to reaching my goals. 250.4

Ooh yay gagirl1! So excited for you! I'm hovering around 254 at the clinic... hoping to go lower this week! Much luck in the week ahead! May we make it to the next thread! (230-240)

Welcome Scottie12! These boards give me so much encouragement. I love watching everyone's trackers go down and hearing their stories. Just keep going no matter what obstacle you encounter and you'll be fine.

I am finally at 249 this morning! I have lost 50 pounds!!! I saw my doctor earlier this week and she was very happy with my results. She thought I must have visited the weight loss clinic but she couldn't find the notes. She couldn't beileve it when I told her I was doing it on my own.

Now, not that I'm setting myself up for failure, just being realistic, I am not moving to the 240's group just yet. We ended a weight loss challenge at work today, which I won, and I'm taking the day off the spend with my kids on Monday. I will be conscious of my eating, but it's going to be all about them and going where they want to go. I'll move soon when I see I'm holding here or moving below. Shouldn't be long.

I see a good reason to stay on the thread, but no harm in visiting the other thread too! Now that you are in the 240s!! Woohoo! I'm hoping to get there in the next week to two weeks!!

Yay!

Hi guys, my name is Cindy. So I am here because I really need to shed weight. I weight 260 on the dot and this is the highest I have ever been. I am in my late 20's and I really need to get my life together. This did not happen overnight, I have not been taking care of myself for around 5 years, I was in graduate school and things just got out of control. Now I have graduated and have found a new job and the only thing hindering me from enjoying my new life is all the weight I gained over the last 5 years. I think I got the wake up call when yesterday 3 different co-workers texted me to let me know that there was cake in the break room. Now I know they were trying to be nice but I don't even like cake, I mean I know they don't know that since I am new but still. I have thrown out all of my snacks from the house today and cleaned up the fridge. I am hoping to get a fresh start starting tom am. I think a thing that will hinder my weight loss is that I have severe hypothyroidism, PCOS, and pre-diabetes (I was diagnosed with all during school). I think I should focus on my health now while I still have time.

I think I am going to follow the low carb program, I hope it works. My doctor said dropping even 7% of total body weight will do wonders for me.

Hi CindyShah! I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. I haven't been here very long, but it has been terrifically supportive for me. I wish you much luck with your losses, but also much calm and good feelings on your journey.

I was right not to move to the 240's thread. I was off plan for a few days so I gained some, as I expected. I'm at 252 today but I'm not sticking strictly to anything. I'm allowing myself a break. I'm not going off the rails completely, but we did a weight loss challenge at work that ended last week and we have another one planned to start the middle of next week. The good thing is that they keep me motivated and we have a lot of fun. My goal is to hit the 240's for good by August 15th. If it happens sooner, great. If not, I'm ok with that too as long as I'm not gaining.
